I have this tea at work when I need something with a kick. Not my favorite, but it gets me started with its boldness. One thing: the aroma of the teabag after being liberated from the sealed pouch is odd. It’s not very natural smelling (kinda “chemically”). Anybody else notice that?

I think there are better, more natural tasting /smelling Earl Greys available & typically prefer them.

Just a note to myself: this tea bag’s age is unknown but can be upwards of 2 years. So, that being said, bergamot is faint, can be mistaken for lemony fragrance. Tastes like a lemon Lipton’s, especially after the spoon of sugar added to my last half cup. Just used the worst type of mug to hold boiling hot tea. The kind of ceramic which makes it impossible to cradle your hands around which I love to do with my double-walled mugs and cups at home. It can be fun to visit your family but being away from all the tea stuff is hard. I am seriously considering getting this family a variable temp. kettle just to have a properly brewed cuppa. In retrospect, would use 205F for this TJ’s EG.

This is a one of the better Earl Grey teabags I’ve had. I occasionally use it to flavor a second or third steeping of my loose leaf green tea, and it compliments the green tea flavor very nicely. It’s good on its own, too.

Trader Joe’s Earl Grey is my standard quick fix daily tea, the Bergamot oil is on the stronger side and I think that is why I love it so much. It has a bold, smooth taste and isn’t bitter. Loose tea is the way to go, but this is my favorite bagged Earl Grey!

Although I prefer loose-leaf, this is a great tea for making a quick steep at work. I love the strong taste that lingers with you even after you’re done drinking it.

I’m sorry, but this is the worst earl grey I have ever tasted. The bergamot was perfumy, bitter, petroleum-like. The gold-standard for earl grey in a bag (as far as I’ve tasted) is Ahmad. Try Twinings Organic, Stash Organic or ANYTHING BUT THIS!!!

Perfumy as any Earl Grey should be, without being overwhelming.

Not bad if you are travelling and need a quick cup of Earl Grey. I still prefer loose leaf tea to bagged, but this will do in a pinch.

Not a bad interpretation of Earl Grey. Definitely has more of a sharp citrus flavor than a floral flavor. It’s about what I would expect for the price.
