I’m always on the lookout for good bagged teas for when I’m in a rush. This tea is definitely a keeper! There’s a nice sweetness from the mango flavoring. I read the ingredients listed on the box, and was surprised to see hibiscus. I couldn’t taste any hibiscus, but the liquor is slightly more reddish than a normal black tea. I really enjoyed this tea. So much so that I might need to stock up next time I make it to a TJ’s (which isn’t very often!).

Very smooth! The actual mango taste is not too subtle nor too pronounced, and it melts softly into the taste of the black tea. I drank it without sweetener or milk as usual, but adding those (especially the former) would probably heighten the experience by bringing out the sweetness of the mango…otherwise, the flavor might just be a bit too weak.

It is guaranteed that this tea, brewed up and iced, is always in our fridge.

The mango is well pronounced and it is hard to over-steep black tea, so I am a fan. Also it is “effectively” priced at Trader Joe’s.

A basic black tea with a slight fruitiness pretty much covers it, nothing remarkable. I’ve been pretty sick this week, and shout out to this tea for being easy to make and being able to take the addition of honey and cough drops well without tasting strange.

Brewed hot, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill fruit-flavored black tea (you don’t even get the overwhelming sense of mango right from the off, but rather a generic sweet tropical). However, brew it for icing, add some goldenrod honey, and you’re in for a treat!

It says that I’ve only drank this tea twice, which must be a lie since I only have one bag left! I love this tea. It’s the perfect combination of sweet fruit and malty black tea. And given the price point, I think it’s pretty comparable to Republic of Tea’s Mango Ceylon, which in my opinion is downright amazing. Maybe I just really like mango…

I recieved a box of this in a “care package” my brother and sister-in-law made when my daughter was born. I will say that it is quite tasty and I’m not sure if TJ’s carries it any more but a good inexpensive black tea.

On it’s own this tea is pretty mediocre (what trader joe’s tea isnt!!). HOWEVER, if you like iced tea, i recommend this recipe.
4 or 5 bags of plain ole Lipton tea + 1 bag of this mango black = 3 quarts of some pretty decent mango iced tea. seriously, i can drink this stuff everyday.

Hot Tea Review:

The aroma I pick up is a nice divide between the tea and mango. I allowed the tea to steep for 5 minutes at 200 degrees. The tea smells lovely and I hope the flavor carries through as I await the steep to complete.

The fruit flavor is lost under the black tea. The black tea tastes strong enough that it’s got a bit of a bitter aftertaste after a 5 minute steep. I’d probably do a 4 minute steep in the future. In order to draw out the mango flavor, I needed to added some sweeteners, which I prefer to not have to do.

Not an undrinkable tea, but not one I’m not finding a desire to drink again.

I have a cold brew steeping currently and will update my review tomorrow.

Update: Cold brew was uninspiring thus not giving any boost to this rating. If anything I’d consider lowering the rating a bit.
