From Trail Lodge Tea

One taste and you’ll believe Connemara Morning was mixed up by some leprechauns. It starts with a blend of black teas that a full bodied, rich, malty, and earthy taste. This is combined with Irish cream flavoring that gives it a sweet decadence. Then petals and shamrock sprinkles are added as a bit of whimsy.
Ingredients: Indian Black Tea, Organic China Black Tea, Shamrock Sprinkles, Calendula Petals, and Organic Natural Flavoring.

Backlog:

The dry leaf is cute and whimsical with the shamrock candy sprinkles … although this is certainly not a buying point for me, because I’d just as soon the candy sprinkles not be part of a tea. I understand the philosophy behind it though, because a tea vendor wants the tea to be visually appealing. So this tea definitely has that.

However, this tea also has GREAT flavor. The black tea base is rich and malty and strong … vaguely resembling a good Irish Breakfast tea. But then there’s more to this … because there is a delightful Irish Cream flavor to it … sweet, creamy and just a hint of that liqueur flavor. I like that this is creamy enough to serve non-latte (without dairy) because I prefer not to add milk to my teas. This had a really lovely “latte” taste without the latte.

A really yummy tea – a great way to start the day! http://sororiteasisters.com/2013/03/25/connemara-morning-black-tea-blend-from-trail-lodge-tea/
