From Twinings

Twinings has been blending my family tea for years. Legend has it that my ancestor, the second Earl Grey, was presented with this exquisite recipe by an envoy on his return from China. He liked it so much he asked Richard Twining to recreate it for him. Generations of my family have enjoyed Earl Grey tea and today, I am proud to continue the tradition with the tea celebrated throughout the world known as Twining Earl Grey." – The seventh Earl Grey

At Twinings, we take great care to ensure that the Earl Grey you drink today tastes as extraordinary as the one Richard Twining first created. Fresh, fragrant and flavoured with the distinctive notes of citrus and bergamot, this Earl Grey tea has all the taste of the original.

Ingredients: Black tea, natural flavor, bergamot peel

Brewing Instructions: Add freshly boiled water. Steep 3 minutes or to desired strength. Do not microwave.

An acceptable Earl Grey tea. The flavour is fairly mild, even with a long steeping. Not as bergamot-y as some other Earl Grey variations, but it’s still a decent tea.

Earl Grey has been been my long time favourite, I like to let the bag steep for about 5 mins, then add a dash of milk.

A good, cheap tea that is very nice at any time of day. The black tea is not very rich, but has a light taste and aroma that blends well with the bergamot flavor. I love Twinings bagged tea because you can steep it quickly and have a nice light tea, or steep it long and have a deep flavorful tea; you cant really mess it up!

This is absolutely my favourite Earl Grey. I only drink this tea with a slice of lemon, so the slight citrus taste in this doesn’t bother me at all. I find the Twinnings has done the absolute best job at blending all the flavours of Earl Grey into the smoothest, loveliest tea that you can enjoy at pretty much any time of day. I especially love this tea at night just before bed while wrapped up in the blankets. There’s a reason this tea is a classic.

This is my go-to tea when I need a little pick me up at work (trying to lessen my coffee intake), my Mom introduced me to this tea and I always have stock of this flavor. I know I got to try other brands but unfortunately, tea is not very popular from where I am.

Excuse me while I alienate everyone. I hate this tea. I just do not like the flavor at all. No matter how many times I have tried it. I love earl grey. But not this one. ew.

Dearest Earl Grey:
I believe you don’t have the right to be in my cupboard anymore. Your wife, Lady Grey, may stay. Maybe I understeeped or oversteeped you. But, hey, my stepfather likes you!
