Finally got around to brewing a sample of this tea. Wow…the cinnamon in this is quite strong…phew! The plum is sweet and a bit tart. Not sure I enjoy this one but will finish the cup. It tastes too much like a liquid potpourri and the fall scented candles I’m burning around aren’t helping the cause.

I didn’t steep this for the full 8 minutes as suggested by Upton because it’s been my experience with teas containing hibiscus that they become way too thick and syrupy (not to mention TART) when left to brew that long.

I really like the way this tisane smells. Strong with cinnamon but I can also smell the fruity notes from the plum too.

This is not a terrible tisane – The cinnamon is the strongest element in the blend, but there is a nice enough fruity flavor to it too. The hibiscus is a bit tart, and I think I’d have liked it better if there was less hibiscus in this blend, but it isn’t too sour, just a little bit more tart than I would like. A little agave nectar helps to curb that – but it would be nice not to have to add it for that purpose.

Not the worst tasting tisane I’ve ever tried, but certainly not the best either. I’m glad I tried the sample of this, but it’s not one of which I’ll purchase a full-sized package.

mmmm afternoon treat of a fruity tea! This one is pretty good. The cinnamon isn’t overpowering, instead it blends in with the plum instead of taking it over. This blend isn’t overly sweet either which is nice. I think this would be a pretty tasty cold brew as well.

steepster is feeling the hate for me..so in the interest of time. had this, it was good. yay tea.

mmm cold brew of this one is pretty darn tasty! What i really like is that the cinnamon becomes muted and the plum flavour becomes much more dominant. I can taste the hibiscus as well, but it’s not overly present, nor is it making the blend really tart. pretty darn tasty!

SIPDOWN!

So let’s talk about how well i was doing at drinking down all those little cups of tea sample that i had in the house. And then… and then! my swap package arrived from Scheherazade and now…if i want to get my cupboard down to 190 before dinosara gets back from vacation, i’m looking at 9 sipdowns a day! bwahahaha now sure i’m going to even get close to that but i’ll keep trying :)

This tea has a bit much hibiscus in it but i still like the cinnamon spiciness of this tea.

I may have a bias because I generally don’t like tisanes, but this particular tisane is so cloying with its over-the-top flavour. I mixed it with a basic black tea to bring down the syrupiness a notch, which generally helps, but the cinnamon in this tea overpowers everything else.
