I only brewed this for two minutes this time. Any bitterness that was present before is now gone and it’s smoother. However, the vanilla is a lot less prominent. The bergamot is a little stronger, but overall it is (logically) weaker.

Thanks to kimlovestea for this sample :)

A really lovely cream of Earl Grey. Neither the vanilla or bergamot is too overwhelming, a nice touch. Smooth. Really well done.

Now back to Fringe. So addictive.

This is as delicious as Steepsters hyped it to be! Has the balance and multi-component loveliness of Zen Tea’s EGC. Smells glorious, wonderfully floral and bergamot-y like Zen Tea’s (that smell dry and brewing that just makes you go “ahhhh”) with a rich, creamy texture nearly as buttery as Della Terra’s EGC. A definite winner I could easily see being one of my go-to regular Earl Greys.

Maybe I can give this one a try. Not wet nappy….. Ha!

FWIW, you may wish to review the conversation 4 months ago between SimplyJenW (red teapot avatar) and I on this page: http://steepster.com/discuss/4693-favorite-earl-grey-and-eg-cream-loose-teas Jen provides her experienced insights on EG & EGC. I hope it is helpful.

Thanks Raul for the sample! I love sharing some interesting teas with you.

I’m not going to compare this to the other Vanilla Creme Earl Grey I recently raved about. I want each tea to have it’s own note & it’s own review. Having said that….

I love this tea! The smell is overwhelmingly vanilla. For me, that is not a problem. I love vanilla. I love it strong. And I love Earl Grey. Nothing better than a good strong cuppa Earl Grey to get your day started. And this one is just perfect today!

I had enough for one tea filter bag to take to work & have for breakfast. I’m already done with one cup & headed for a refill. I expect to get at least two more cups…otherwise I am going to be sad.

I love the taste. Very smooth & creamy. Very strong on the vanilla, but again, I love it. I hope it doesn’t seem overbearing to others. The strong wonderful aroma is still lingering in the air & that makes me love this tea even more.

I’m definitely going to have to order this tea to have on hand.
Hey, there is no such thing as too much Earl Grey!

Ohhh man this is good. Like some of the other Earl Grey teas in the Upton Earl Grey tea sampler, this one also smelled pretty darn intense, but was less crazy once brewed. The flavour of this one (and the smell too), I prefer much more than the Lavender one.

This was really quite good. Next time I will make sure the water is fully boiling but yeah, this stuff rocks. Pretty strong Earl Grey smell but chill enough once you brew it. Tasty stuff.

I love earl gray… in almost all forms.
This one is no different.
I do very much enjoy the combo
of the citrus and cream.
It just works for me.

Quite pleasant, but doesn’t scream Earl Grey to me. It’s smooth, vanilla.. pedestrian in nature.

Drinking this while I plan my next David’s order.

I’m trying to remember exactly how much I liked Mango Madness, but since the last time I had it was before I joined Steepster, and since I didn’t even save the envelope to sniff and recall the flavors, it’s like grasping at smoke here.

What a great smelling tea, before and after steeping. The room smells kind of like key-lime pie after I added hot water and let it sit for while. The first sip tastes a little custard-esque, maybe a little bit like a creamy lemon pie. All of the flavors in here are pretty well balanced; nothing is overly dominating. This might become a regular, gonna have to try some other eg creams to know for sure. Trying it iced and with sugar really brings out the creaminess even more for me, but I think I prefer this one hot.

Backlog: A great tasting Earl Grey. I usually loathe vanilla flavouring but this had just the right scent and touch. I think it being a creme earl grey is what did it. I ordered this in the sampler set of earl greys and had to restrain myself from drinking pot after pot of it. I was sad to use it up (on guests even! when I should have hogged it for myself!) and definitely can see myself ordering some again if I could only get over the shipping costing more than the tea itself. Darn Canadian postal prices.
