Chocolate Mint Rooibos
Chocolate Mint Rooibos is an organic blend of Rooibos tea, hints of mint, and decadent chunks of chocolate. Rooibos is known to be rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C, and assist with insomnia. Rooibos is proven to combat harmful radicals that cause cancer and strokes. Mint aids in soothing indigestion and the scent is calming. With it’s sweet taste, this blend is great to drink before bed and perfect for children! You can also enjoy this tea as a traditional latte or over ice!
Chocolate Mint Rooibos loose tea comes in a 4oz pouch. To order larger quantities or individual natural tea bags, check the white box.Water quality is essential when preparing the perfect cup of tea. Use bottled or filtered water for best results. Pour hot/boiled water (205 F) in your teacup or tea pot and let it sit for 2 minutes then pour it out. The warming of the teacup or teapot will maintain the temperature creating the best tasting tea. Use one tablespoon of loose tea per cup of water or per 12 ounces. Pour boiled water over tea leaves and keep your teapot covered to maintain the heat. Infuse for 5-7 minutes. Over infusing will create a strong bitter taste. Add sugar, honey, or milk according to taste. Enjoy your tea one sip at a time!
Iced Tea InstructionsA stronger brew of iced tea is required due to the melting of the ice, therefore we suggest you double the amount of loose tea that you would typically use for hot tea, per cup. (i.e. if you use one tablespoon of loose tea for hot tea, use two tablespoons of loose tea for iced tea) Brew tea as directed. If you would prefer your iced tea to be sweetened, add rock sugar (for best results) while the tea is steeping, opposed to adding it at the end. This will enhance the taste of the iced tea and the sugar will easily dissolve in the hot water. After the hot tea is brewed, immediately pour it into a glass or cup filled completely with ice. The instant cooling will keep the scent and flavor of the tea intact. Add lemon, cinnamon sticks, or mint as desired. Enjoy!
Large ServingBring one quart of water to a rolling boil. Remove the water from the heat and add 10 teaspoons of loose tea per quart (using a tea pot w/filter or tea bags will work just the same). Let this steep for 6-7 minutes or to your desired strength, then remove loose tea. If you would prefer your iced tea to be sweetened, add rock sugar (for best results) while the tea is steeping, opposed to adding it at the end. This will enhance the taste of the iced tea and the sugar will easily dissolve in the hot water. If you would like to serve immediately, pour over a glass or cup filled completely with ice. The instant cooling will keep the scent and flavor of the tea intact. If not, add an additional quart of cold water and let chill in the refrigerator (minimum 2 hrs). Add lemon, cinnamon sticks, or mint as desired. Enjoy!
