From Verdant Tea

Wang Yanxin’s iconic wild Yunnan white tea blended with night jasmine blossoms has been one of our most popular teas for over a decade! Notes of luscious creamy jasmine, juicy strawberry, eucalyptus, and whipped cream.

This spring harvest pre-Qing Ming white tea is traditionally scented and made with Da Bai varietal white tea. This white tea is not sprayed with artificial oils or aromas. Instead, it is dried together with fresh jasmine blossoms scattered among the buds, allowing the natural aroma of the jasmine to absorb over several days into the tea itself. The process of adding fresh wild Yunnan jasmine blossoms is repeated six times over six days to get a full rich and creamy infusion that holds its intense sweetness and natural potency over many steepings. The creamy dessert-like Yunnan silver needle white tea is the perfect delicate pairing with Lincang’s local luscious jasmine.

Sourced By Wang Yanxin
Small farmers and micro-workshops across Yunnan are often denied the chance to show off their incredible work, overshadowed by big labels. Wang Yanxin believes in small producers, helping them reach a wide audience without big brand labels.

The result is pristine, hand-finished tea, aged offerings and regional collaborations that inspire new styles. Wang Yanxin has devoted her career and formidable palate to these collaborations, searching far and wide for the very best.

I adored this. It is so sweet and juicy and jasminey. I would love a bath product, or a lotion that smelled like this so I could smell it all day long.

This was a sample I had received with on of my Verdant orders. I had it before bed with a book last night. It was a wonderful calming tea. The Jasmine was just right. The sweetness of the white tea base, made it so creaming and sweet. Loved it.

White Comparison 8/17/15 Tea #5

Why is banana listed as the first flavor of this tea on here?

This tea is fun for this reason: Upon each time that the liquid I brewed out of this goes down, there is a line of silky sweetness that I not only feel but taste.
It’s kind of like Turbo just shot down my throat… wait, no it’s not because that would be slimy…

Anyways, this tea is great because it has the taste, the aroma, and the ‘feels’.

I thought that the banana description was weird too until I tried it. There was a banana-ISH sweetness to it for me, but it was more of a feeling than flavor. I still don’t get the “cocoa” notes that are occasionally on Bai Hong Pao oolongs entirely. They are KINDA like dark chocolate (I typically eat in the 70-90% range anyway), but not really that chocolaty. Sorry for the rant….anyways, that’s one of my favorite White Jasmine’s I’ve had!

Au jasmin. Sweet, creamy, and pure jasmine. There is a banana sweetness, and a hidden white peppercorn spiciness. Even dry leaf, it has a lovely perfume that is so natural.

I used the full seven gram sample in eight ounces. First was purely jasmine perfume, again, au jasmin. Second thirty seconds was sweeter, more of the banana. Third, simple jasmine again.

I love this one. It was a nice reminder of simplicity after all the oolongs that I’ve been trying. Heartwarming, and grounding. My mom would have loved it. Wish I kept some for her. Lovely. Just lovely.

a nice tea :)

little glass pitchure, grandpa style:

when i smell the leaves dry, they smell peppery and floral.

when i smell the leaves wet, the smell is intensified.

when i smell the brewed tea, i smell pepper and flowers.

when i taste the brewed tea, i taste pepper, spiceyness and flowers :D

i rate this a 75 as im not into the flowers much.

many thanks to Toad Thomas for this nice sample.

This is the best Jasmine tea I have ever tasted. It tastes very clean and pure. I thought I had tired of Jasmine tea until I had this cup. I taste definite notes of melon second to the Jasmine. I will say perfume but it is of the finest variety not thick or overbearing. The second steeping pulled some banana flavor forward. This is a tea I would proudly serve to any guest. I actually don’t consider myself a white tea fan either but I’m enjoying the Jasmine flowers “floating” through the gentle sweetness of the base. I must repurchase and share with others. I feel peaceful after drinking this tea.

Monthly TTB Club.

This is good! I like it as much if not more than the jasmine greens I’ve had.
