DA BAI
Tea Varietal

Bai Mu Dan (white peony) is picked with a combination of early spring buds and tender leaves, full of bud down that adds texture and richness to the tea. This fresh Ming Qian 2019 harvest is full of rich sesame notes and vibrant fresh olive oil undertones to complement the smooth, honeyed aftertaste and zesty Italian citrus highlights. This intense complexity comes from the wild environment and zero-intervention farming that the Wu Family practices on their high mountain plot, allowing the tea to pick up flavor and depth from the surrounding biodiverse plant life.

This was so yummy! Light and delicate with juicy citrus notes and a buttery-smooth finish. I think I’ll be hanging on to this one!

Samurai Travelling Tea Box – Tea #31

Cold Brew!

Last tea of the day, and I’m probably pushing myself by drinking such a large cold brew before bed – and one with caffeine, no less! It’s a hot day though, even in the evening, and this is really refreshing! Pretty smooth and lightly/delicately flavoured – reminds me of the super airy and refreshing cucumber finger sandwiches you sometimes get at afternoon or high tea, with just a kiss/hint of lemon as well.
