After fermenting, these leaves are roasted on hot iron pans for a short time. Next the tea is smoked over pine woods which are rich in resin. The smoking time is determined for each type separately. Our Laspsang Souchong has a large, open, and slightly grayish leaf with a sharp note of smoke.
