From Yatra Tea Company

Planted by the British in 1924, Singbulli is spread across 9 rolling hills in the picturesque Mirik Valley in Darjeeling. The estate lies at an altitude of 4,400 ft. at its highest point.

The garden has four divisions, namely Singbulli Division, Manja Division, Tingling Division and Murmah Division. Area under plantation is roughly 475 hectares. Current tea management (same as Puttabong) has firm measures in place to ensure soil conservation and maintaining the bio-diversity at the garden. Singbulli is Organic and Fair Trade Certified.

This is a great morning tea. I brew it western style in a relative close fashion to what the company recommends. The first brew is more complex while the second brew is more subtle and sweet. You could probably get 3 steeps out of this however I opt for 2. One for 3 minutes and another for 5-6. I find it to be a good value also at it’s current price point of $10 for 50 grams.
