From Yogi Tea

Inspired by an ancient Russian remedy, we’ve created a decaffeinated formula that has the flavor and support you want without the caffeine. In this special blend, we combine naturally decaffeinated organic green tea with kombucha to help maintain your immune system and detoxify your body. Spearmint leaf naturally aids digestion,* and lemongrass and plum combine to create a fragrant tea with a light, fruity flavor. Relax with a cup of Green Tea Kombucha Decaf any time of day, and enjoy a deliciously soothing cup of tea.

Another “alien mystery bag” that supplied a pleasant surprise. Usually I avoid Yogi because of the ridiculously cloying licorice that shows up in most of their blends. No licorice in this one—and it does have a nice, light, fruit-juicy quality. Like Juicy Fruit fruit-juicy.

Reminds me of Juicy Fruit chewing gum.

Jackfruit or papaya or something something. With spearmint.

It’s decaf and it’s ‘green tea’ and it’s nighttime right now so like, yeah, I enjoyed this.

This is actually one of my favorite teas from Yogi, I drank it every day for a long time when I was cutting back on caffeine. It really doesn’t taste anything like kombucha, which is a plus in my book because I don’t care for it. It does have a slightly fruity flavor which I like. Another thing to note, I wouldn’t drink it for the benefits associated with kombucha because you only get that from a live bacteria/yeast which this is not.

This is one of my fave teas right now. It’s slightly fruity but not overbearing – just right.

I don’t honestly know whether the hype about kombucha is true. I’ve heard astounding claims made about its efficacy, and claims made that it does nothing. Either way, this tea tastes pretty good. The green is mostly a backdrop, and what I taste is a mild papaya. This makes a great after dinner tea as it cleanses the palette and purportedly helps with digestion. Fruit teas are very hit or miss with me, so I wasn’t sure whether I was getting myself in trouble buying it. I definitely don’t taste the spearmint, and wouldn’t have identified lemongrass a component on my own either- it really tastes more like fruit to me.
