From Yumchaa

Here at Yumchaa, Soho Spice is our comfort drink and a quiet source of strength in a cup. The spicy cloves in this tea are balanced with orange peel, almonds and rose, all warming and heart-full ingredients. A cosy blanket, an absorbing book and a cup of hot Soho Spice is a wonderful evening to slip into.
PS The cloves in this tea are also a great natural remedy for soothing toothaches and sore mouths.

Ingredients: Cloves, Almond, Orange Peel, Marigold Blossoms, Cornflowers with a Keemun Black Tea base, 100g

I much prefer this tea to Chai Black, also from Yumchaa. The black base in this blend is a lot lighter than CB and there’s no pepper in this one, either. Straightaway I taste a lovely mix of orange and cloves. The spiciness is just right. I don’t get any almonds, but the orange peel gives this a lovely fruitiness. I like this one a lot.

This tea reminds me of Pleine Lune’s (Mariage Freres) poor cousin. I get what it’s trying to do, but it doesn’t quite do it well enough. I think I’ve been spoiled by better teas – and I’m glad :) Especially since I just had one sample of this one, so I can instead spend my money on, oh, so many other yummy teas….

Had this at Yumchaa in London, was nice and spicy with a fruity aftertaste.
