Sad to see this one go. So yummy!
I think you’re sexier than socks on a rooster.

Lovely toffee scent, beautiful leaves, seems to be a good quality white peony. Lots of big whole leafs and buds. The blue cornflowers add a pretty touch.
Lovely clear straw color, smells of toffee, no smell of white tea
Really nice toffee taste, sweet, nutty and rich. I regret drinking this for breakfast, I should have saved it for dessert! As I sip the white base comes through, which is nice I was worried the toffee was going to be overpowering based on the scent. Very very good! I’m a big fan of white tea and I can definitely see having this around. Now I just need to get my stash down a bit so I can justify buying it!
Wow smells amazing when I opened the bag! Couldn’t wait for the water to get to the right temp to brew. I brewed according to the instructions 2 tsp per cup. It was a little hard to measure the leaves properly because the leaves were so big.
Brewed it smells just as good. Mmm tastes mildly nutty and sweet. Great balance with the white tea. I haven’t tried a lot of white tea yet but this one is quite nice…
As the tea cools the toffee flavour becomes more pronounced. Mmmm.
Thank you JennyFur for this sample!
I brewed a couple of cups of this tea for my husband and I during lunch. The dry leaves and brewed tea both smell delightfully of toffee. The taste, however, does not. I suppose it could be described as nutty, but a very flat flavorless nutty. I was really hoping for better with this one. I love both white tea and toffee. If only this blend tasted as good as it smells. Oh well. Glad I got to try it out though.
Gave this one a try this afternoon… Thanks MissB! Going to try a resteep & see if it holds up to it for another cup.
Dry leaf smells nutty, buttery.
Steeped I get white tea with toffee & maybe a hint of cream. I think the white base here is nice because it doesn’t overpower the toffee flavor.
Generally I prefer black, white, green teas in that order (not counting herbal/rooibos).. I think my taste buds may be coming around more to whites and greens as I’ve had more of them (flavored ones primarily so far though). Having grown up on mostly black teas, I guess I can understand the reason there. I’m glad they are becoming more welcome to my pallet so that I can enjoy more variety :)
I wasn’t expecting much of this since I haven’t really like the white teas I’ve had a whole lot. I think they come off too delicately for me. But this tastes great. It smelled like toffee, it tasted like toffee – sweet and nutty, stronger than I was expecting too but not so much that it is horribly artificial either. I like it so much I didn’t ask if anyone else at home wanted to try… I know, not nice. Next time…
