Tea: 2 tsp
Water: 8 oz
Additives: none

Dry leaf
Lovely toffee scent, beautiful leaves, seems to be a good quality white peony. Lots of big whole leafs and buds. The blue cornflowers add a pretty touch.

Liquor
Lovely clear straw color, smells of toffee, no smell of white tea

Really nice toffee taste, sweet, nutty and rich. I regret drinking this for breakfast, I should have saved it for dessert! As I sip the white base comes through, which is nice I was worried the toffee was going to be overpowering based on the scent. Very very good! I’m a big fan of white tea and I can definitely see having this around. Now I just need to get my stash down a bit so I can justify buying it!

My thanks to Zen Tea for the sample.

Dry, this smells sweet, very toffee-y. Steeped it smells very similar, just less sweet.
This is lovely, but I am partial to white teas it seems. Tastes exactly as it’s described with a sweet toffee and nutty toasty flavor.

Wow smells amazing when I opened the bag! Couldn’t wait for the water to get to the right temp to brew. I brewed according to the instructions 2 tsp per cup. It was a little hard to measure the leaves properly because the leaves were so big.
Brewed it smells just as good. Mmm tastes mildly nutty and sweet. Great balance with the white tea. I haven’t tried a lot of white tea yet but this one is quite nice…
As the tea cools the toffee flavour becomes more pronounced. Mmmm.

I agree that this one offers a great balance. Quite surprising, given the fact that white tea usually gets buried under the flavours, but in this blend somehow it all works out!

Thank you JennyFur for this sample!

I brewed a couple of cups of this tea for my husband and I during lunch. The dry leaves and brewed tea both smell delightfully of toffee. The taste, however, does not. I suppose it could be described as nutty, but a very flat flavorless nutty. I was really hoping for better with this one. I love both white tea and toffee. If only this blend tasted as good as it smells. Oh well. Glad I got to try it out though.

Man, I’m on the lookout for a good toffee tea but I keep being let down. Sound like this one was a bomb too.

Well, some reviewers here seem to think it was good. We all have different tastes :) I could certainly pass along the rest of the sample, if you’d like. I also have a toffee (and caramel) puerh blend that has a stronger flavor than this (if you like puerh). My only complain with that one is that I prefer unflavored puerh. If I come across anything else/better I’ll let you know!

The more I drink this, the more I like it. Only the first steep, though. It’s pretty weak the second time around.

It makes me feel like I’m drinking dessert, and what could be wrong about that?

This is a really nice light and mellow tea, lil bit sweetish, and the 2nd steep is lovely, too. Thanks @cavocorax! K & I gobbled this up.

(*But I really don’t taste any toffee! Mostly kinda sweet grassy.)

I can’t remember if I got toffee out of it – maybe in the smell? But I was pretty happy with it as a white tea. I still need to try a plain white tea just so I can get used to the flavour before the add ins. :P

Yeah, I probably do too! I think I like it, though. I liked the other one I had.

Sipdown! Well, not really since I have a bit I ordered from their sale sitting in a box on the counter. Thanks MissB for sharing this with me!

I’ve been trying not to open my Zen teas until I do some sipdowns. I don’t think I can count this one since I ordered more of it.

With a touch of raw sugar, this is nice light sweet toffee. Nothing heavy or in your face, just a nice light blend w/no grassy notes .. Yeah!

I wasn’t expecting much of this since I haven’t really like the white teas I’ve had a whole lot. I think they come off too delicately for me. But this tastes great. It smelled like toffee, it tasted like toffee – sweet and nutty, stronger than I was expecting too but not so much that it is horribly artificial either. I like it so much I didn’t ask if anyone else at home wanted to try… I know, not nice. Next time…

Can’t believe I forgot to leave reviews for the samples Zen Tea was kind enough to send. Just finished the last of my sample for this tea tonight. Its incredibly delicious, sweet and nutty, and the white base is excellent. Definitely going on my must purchase list.
