From Zen Tea

Produced in Fujian, China. In appearance this tea is a dark-roasted, highly oxidized and of a coffee-bean colour. The dry-leaf aroma is of spices and flowers. The dominant flavour of the brewed tea is dried peach with a lingering fruit and spice aftertaste. The aroma is long-lasting with hints of sweet honey and spice in combination. This tea aids digestion and also can boost energy levels.

Interesting smell – complex.
Light dried fruit like flavour. As I get towards the bottom of the cup I get orchid and violet.
It’s good, and very complex. A lot is happening in this cup.
Sadly there’s a note that I can’t quite pin down, that I’m not the biggest fan of personally. Had that not been present, I would love this tea since I’m a big fan of complexity.

Is it possible that I’m getting past my dislike for green oolongs? Are they finally growing on me? or have I just had a couple of examples lately that are more to my taste?

This is ok. It’s not in your face floral – it’s mild and gentle. I can drink this.

I don’t think green oolong will ever be a favorite of mine, but I’m starting to appreciate it a little more.
Thank you TheTeaFairy for sending me this sample.

Wow, this is a big step, it’s like me not hating a red rooibos, I totally get it :-)
