Chinese green tea is delicately flavoured by imprinting the leaves with natral Jasmine flowers and allowing the tea to absorb its fragrance. The flowers are then carefully removed by hand leaving behind this exotic tea that can be drunk any time of the day and particularly makes a great accompaniment to food.

This is a Chinese green tea packaged by a Sri Lankan tea company. The instructions on the envelope said boiling water, I said no way. The green tea was earthy with both fresh and dry grass. Highly mineral, I though maybe salty? The jasmine was light, quite nice. A mellow start to the day.
