Wasn’t sure what to expect from this. I was a little surprised at the scent — I was expecting something citrusy with a hint of mint, but it smells like Moroccan mint.

Hot, that’s what it tastes like. The mint is very strong, and you can taste the green tea (barely) under it, but the rum and lime are not coming through very much at all. It’s pretty light, but still tasty. But I’m not sure it stacks up against other minty greens — it’s good, but not amazing or standout.

So I did the freezer trick — stuck the remainder in a cup in the freezer, to try it “iced” once it was cold. I can taste the rum now (and it’s not awesome), but not the mint or the lime. I’ll chalk some of that up to not having a high enough tea to water ratio for the iced version, but I’m still not impressed. And I’m not sure I want it stronger, to be honest.

Verdict: Hot, it’s a nice cup but nothing special. Cold, ick.

Yet another tea sample from MandyB. Thanks Mandy! The aroma of this is more of a green tea with mint flavoring. The coloring is very close to that in the photo. The overall taste is fairly good. I can taste the Peppermint first with a hint of rum which gives it a distinct taste. I think I can even the lime but am not sure about the lemon…unless it’s a lemon/lime combo I am getting. Regardless it’s a creative blend in a bag and I think I like it.

One of my favorite bagged teas.
I’ve got a couple bottles from getting bottled Argo tea at Whole Foods, and the bottles are so awesome I can’t help but reuse them. I love to make this the night before, let it cool a bit, put it in one of the bottles, and then pop it in the fridge to take with me to class the next day. Sure came in handy to have today when I had to participate in a debate!

It’s minty and citrusy, not too easy to taste any sort of rum flavor. It’s very refreshing and light, and most importantly there isn’t one of these flavors overpowering all the rest.

After thinking my taste buds were way off for some reason, I didn’t want to waste any more good tea on them. But I think now that I’ve had a nap, it’s better. I made this iced to go with lunch. Apparently I just had excellent timing in going to get my mail because all of a sudden there’s thunder. Self high-five!

I really wish this came in loose leaf, because I love it so so much. Granted, it’s really good for a sachet, so it’s not that awful. I don’t think beyond that I have anything new to say. But this is still one of my favorite quick iced teas.

You know how instructions for iced tea always say to brew double for a cup? It never occurred to me that I could do this for a smaller amount, so I could have just 8oz, until today. I feel extremely dense.

So that is what I did to go with my childlike dinner. Still love this for iced tea so much because it’s so quick to make. I think I still have 10 sachets left somehow and I’ll be enjoying all of them soon since we just completely skipped spring apparently.

I cannot stand right now. I’m leaving Saturday on a road trip and I have felt sick since Sunday, and so I took today to get some things done and ugh. Not helping when one thing you bought to give someone cost FIVE times more than you expected and now you really need to go return it today. I finally got myself to eat oatmeal thanks to the 52teas flavor of the week though, lol. My throat just hurts and I don’t get it. And oddly enough I learned that Finnish salmiakki, really helps…although it has a horrible aftertaste. Apparently the fact I even like the stuff is weird.

So yes…this tea. I wanted something easy right now so a sachet of this sounded perfect. I steeped it for just two minutes but it seems extra dark today. It’s still good, but I rarely ever have it hot now because it just tastes so good iced. But it has mint and lemon, which is what I was looking for right now. Since I have to go back out I will probably find myself something more soothing.

1600 miles, 2 hockey games, a sunburn, and a little over 4 days later, I am finally home, and I returned to a bunch of tea that I will get started drinking shortly!

..except I just saw lightning out my window so I may just hide in bed. Cool story: the arena in Tampa has tesla coils and that was WAY awesome. I am sick of lightning right now though because of it, hahaha.

So because I am dead tired I wanted a quick iced tea, with what little ice popped out of my icemaker when I remembered to turn it back on. Never has pizza delivery been so wonderful than after you just drove 8 hours alone.

It’s hitting the spot, since I never had enough time to make myself any tea on my trip. I have missed drinking it so much, especially when I had to pay freakin’ $5 for a bottle of soda yesterday.

I can officially say now that this is a lot better as an iced tea to me.

One of my favorites. The flavors of mint lime and rum are easily tasted in each cup. An all year tea for me, it is mellow but full flavored.

This is good! Lots of mint with a hint of lemon/lime. Rum flavor is really light but adds a little extra something to this tea.

I found this tea lacking in any discernible lime/mojito flavor. All I could taste was mint. Which is a real shame, because I was hoping for something very refreshing and limey.

This tea is good, with just the right combination of mint and lime. Doesn’t need anything added to it. Would probably make a delicious iced tea.

Cup #2…this tea is growing on me. It might be my new go-to tea when I’m sick.

This was a polite little green tea with the slightest hint of mint.

quite minty, smooth consistency. can’t taste the citrus too much or the rum flavoring, but it’s calming.
