this was my first pu-erh. I saw it at Whole Foods, and figured i would give it a try. i liked it. it is earthy. I like that it as a strong flavor. It is nice to have them as little discs. When i am at work (or at home) and i do not want to measure out a teaspoon of tea, it is nice to put this out and know you have the correct amount of tea.

Can this tea be renamed to Fruit Loops? Smells and taste like fruit loops.

If you like fruit loops you will like this tea. I like fruit loops.

I totally had the same reaction! Unfortunately I’m not a big fan of Fruit Loops so this one entered my swap rotation…

this was my first chai tea. I had it at the store and thought it was pretty good. If it was not discontinued i would definitely get some.

This was the first matcha I ever had. I just finished my package of it today. I think this is a good stepping stone to Matcha. It is sweet and weak. The powder is a very light color. I made four cups the first night.

Cofftea

Absolutely not my thing at all, but just thought I’d like you know it’s back in stock. Did you prepare it like regular matcha or in latte form?

teatoad

i did both…. i like the regular matcha better.

drank Wuyi Oolong by Rishi Tea

I needed some tea to keep at work. So the other day I went to Whole Foods and got some of this Wuyi. I am writing this as I taste it, so this is my first thoughts.
Smell – honestly… it smells bad.
First Taste – taste bad. very smooth.
Next Couple of sips – getting more of a smoky, light almond taste.

not bad but not good… i probably will not buy this again.

4 minutes is a long steep for a fired oolong maybe u should try less time… just trying to be constructive please don’t take offence

i know what you are saying, I too thought 4 minutes was a long. But that was the instructions that were on the tin, so that is what i tried first. I have tried it a couple more times playing with the time and amount of tea. Still i dislike this tea. I am hating it more and more. I see that liked it iced. I will try that.

drank Pear-Lemon Panache by Teavana

By looking at the color of the steeped water, you would think that this tea had very little favor. But after smelling and tasting the tea, you get a burst of pear flavor. The one thing i do not like about this tea is the very sweet after taste. I feel like i just had a sweet tart. I thought that this would be good iced b/c of the sweetness but the flavor of the tea was to light when it was iced.

drank My Morning Mate by Teavana

i have been drinking this tea for about 2 months now. I have liked it from the start, but the other day I wanted to play around with it. So I put some extra tea in so i could get a stronger flavor. I normally steep it 5-6 minutes, but this time i only did about 4-4:30. Made a huge difference. All of the flavors stood out more but at the same time blended together. A smooth taste. i am going to be making it that way from now on.

When i first started drinking this i was not a huge fan. But now I have this every morning. This is always my first tea and then i follow it with something else.

My original problem with it was that i was not making it correctly. I always had clumps of powder. I tried a couple of different tools and ended up using an small egg beater. I also only poured in a little water at a time and then mixed it, then more water and so on. I think it is a little pricey, but at the same time it does last a long time.

Update: I figured out what to do. Normally i put the Matcha in the cup and then all of the water. But i have been playing around with this. This is the way that worked best for me. Put the Matcha in the cup, and then add a little water (just enough to cover the bottom). Mix that in then add a little more water. I did this a couple more times till all of the water is in the cup.

For me this made a HUGE difference. The taste is much better and i have no more dry clumps. I also have been using a small egg whisk (a mini whisk).

Last night I tried to make a matcha shake. (matcha, milk, ice and sugar). Not bad at all.

I actually won this tea from Teavana’s Twitter contest. The first time i tried this tea i steeped it to long and did not care for the flavor. The Second time i had it, i stop it at 3 minutes, MUCH MUCH better.

This is a good black tea. I try to have it twice a week. It has a nice simple black tea flavor.
