NEVERMIND!!!! I really like this tea, it was the timer’s fault. It was wildly overstepped!!!

Honestly, I still don’t love this… I’ll drink it but I think I placed it. The base is too astringent and the lavender is bitter. IDK if there’s artificial flavoring for lavender or if there’s too much, though it doesn’t look like it. Some how it is worse the second time. Maybe it needs to be a latte.

This is a nice blend but not as good as I was hoping it would be. I quite like lavender and I like cream teas. This didn’t necessarily hit the spot. It was a bit astringent and strong black tea heavy which I don’t mind usually but when I expect one thing and taste another it is a little disappointing. That being said, I might try to steep it a little lighter next time and see if that changes things. Though, I don’t think that this will be a blend I will be repurchasing from Murchies.

This is a really nice Assam. I’d actually never had an Assam tea/blend straight before. I’ve always made it with milk and/or with sweetener. This was malty, bready, sweet, and cozy… especially with the oddly cold weather we’ve been having in NY.

This is another sample. It’s good, not my favorite but it’s nice. A little unseasonably cold today so maybe that’s part of it… I’m definitely craving something cozy and warm rather than this cold brew.

Flavors: Candy, Fruit Punch, Juicy, Raspberry, Watery

Okay, this is going to sound crazy… I don’t taste the spices, I don’t taste the licorice…. all I taste is sour candy and I love it! Plus its a gorgeous color!!! LOVE (totally didn’t take from a hotel lobby in Philly).

Flavors: Candy, Floral, Fruit Punch, Fruity, Hibiscus, Pleasantly Sour

This is another from the sampler I received as a very kind gift. I really like this one, I was pretty shocked by the other tasting notes for this blend. I thought that it was bright, creamy, had a little spice going…. I really liked it and will grab some the next time I head to the Millerton location. I do understand that its not a traditional chai, it does miss some of the other spices other than a bit of cinnamon and clove. So I’d call it rooibos spice maybe, but I do enjoy it!

I really like darjeeling teas, I honestly don’t know why I don’t have any other than this sample. It’s more of a, I know I love them… I just don’t realize I want them until they’re in front of my face. That needs to change, I do need to get more. That being said, this smelled sweet and floral right off the bat which I was really excited for and this tea did not disappoint. It’s sweet, floral, and a little malty. I love it!

Bio

My name is Gabriella but everyone calls me Gabby! I am a 20-year-old college student living in NY, majoring in History and Elementary Education. In my spare time, I post reviews and little pieces of writing on my blog, read books, play video games, write poetry, and love to cuddle up with my two-year-old hound dog Buddy.
I have interesting tea preferences, to say the least:
Definitely a mood drinker, and I tend to change my preferences often, if I have a bad experience with a specific flavor or tea type I end up avoiding it for a while, then dive back in later. I also prefer my teas plain but will sometimes make lattes.

Flavor Preferences:

Fruit: mainly melon, berry, and apple flavors are my favorites. I’m allergic to pineapple, passionfruit, and kiwi.
Dessert: Almost all flavors dessert-wise are welcome I especially love warm and comforting flavors like caramels, chocolates, cookies/biscuits, crumbles, and muffin.
Floral: I prefer violets, lavender, roses, and mallow flowers. Open to all florals, allergic to dandelions.
Spices: I love lightly spiced blends but some like the infamous Hot Cinnamon Spice is too much for me.
Herbs: My favorites are mint, rosemary, sage, thyme, and sometimes basil.
Favorite Companies:
Harney and Sons
Simpson and Vail
White 2 Tea
Plum Deluxe
Trader Nicks
Friday Afternoon
