Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea
100

Drinking this tea this morning with hazelnut creamer. Yummy!
This tea is stronger than the French Breakfast tea from Golden Moon. I like to drink this Ceylon with creamer.

Plum Oolong from Dr. Tea's Tea Garden
100

I am comparing this tea to a sample I received from The Jade Teapot. This one from Dr. Tea’s has alot of oolong in the tin with very little plums. The brew is a dark amber in my cup. The taste is oolong with a sharp plum after taste. After tasting both teas, I am left with this thought…is this tea old? The one from TJT is lighter and more fruity. This one is heavier and almost bitter in comparison.

Plum Oolong from The Jade Teapot

Got a sample of this tea. I am comparing this tea to another plum oolong that I have in my cupboard. This sample from The Jade Teapot is full of plump looking mini plums. During the infusion, the plums let off streams of red! Looked really cool in my clear infusion cup. Compared to my other oolong, this one has more plums and less oolong. The taste is very fruity. The color in my mug is peach. The oolong taste is behind the plums. This left me very dry. Astringent…maybe too much so.

French Breakfast from Golden Moon Tea

Got my new tea yesterday. This is a great black tea that sounds alone very easily. Smooth, no bitterness at all with a taste of honey. ….added note: you can REALLY taste the honey note when it cools down.

Ginger Peach from The Republic of Tea
94

Since we have snow today! I choose something with a little spring in it, after all this is the first full day of spring. This tea has a great balance between the black, the peach and the ginger. This is the last of this tin in my cupboard. I seem to have moved on to Ceylons at the moment, but I really do like this tea.

Hazelnut from Adagio Teas
80

The last of this tea is upon me:( I enjoyed smelling the tea in the tin..When I open my tea drawer, I could smell it! The Ceylon base is good but the hazelnut is not strong. The $2.00 sample was very much enjoyed and I know it will be missed in my cupboard. This tea is on my shopping list. Enjoying the last cup with a chocolate:)

Orange and Spice Herb Tea from Bigelow
85

Nice spicey herbal blend. Perfect for late night drinking:)

Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea

This has become my everyday tea:)
Smooth flavors, no after bite.
I did do something today that will probably send shivers down some tea lovers spines…I added a hazelnut creamer to my cup. The result was really good. I love the taste of hazelnut and sometimes wish I could have that flavor profile with this tea. The use of the creamer solved that problem. Much creamier than 2% milk. I think I actually like this better than Adiago’s Hazelnut. My hubby will be glad about that since he thinks I have too much anyway…LOL…can you ever have too much tea?? I think not:)

Hazelnut from Adagio Teas

I have not had this in awhile. It is warm and toasty with the great scent of hazelnuts. The smell in the tin is enough to become addicted:) I added just a spoonful of milk, delicious. Perfect compliment to my waffle supper.

Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea
100

After reading the other reviews on this tea, I did not add sugar when I brewed this tea this morning. I only added a spoon of milk to a 6 oz cup. Perfect ratio. The taste of the tea really comes alive. Not bitter and has no “bite” afterwards like so many breakfast type teas.

Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea

Started yesterday and today out with this tea. Delicious. Probably the best black tea I have had, others pale to this one. The taste is smooth and simple. Most black teas that I have had were blends, this is just simple. One taste, pure enjoyment.

Ali Shan from Adagio Teas

This oolong is on the green side of things. I really tried to like it. I varied the steep times and the temperature…same results for me. Too vegan tasting. The smell in the tin is incredible, but the brew is not to my liking. I guess I have something to put in the TTB!

Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea

Ordered this on the Steepster Select special on an impulse…free shipping I could not resist! Got the tea today, made a pot. The smell is rich. The brew is smooth. I added rock crystals and milk. I drank two pots of this tea. Wonderful breakfast tea. I love that is not bitter and is lighter than a china black tea. The 3 oz tin is full but I am still wondering how long this will last since I plan on drinking this every morning:)

Orange U Slim from The Jade Teapot
83

Nice amber brew with a delicate taste of orange. I love to drink this after a meal:)

Strawberry Seduction from The Jade Teapot
43

The smell in the package is incredible. Smells like a summer day. The taste in my cup was a little too prefumey for my tastes. I drank it, it was good.

Red Dragon from Adagio Teas
80

A good breakfast blend. I added milk and rock sugar crystals.

Hazelnut from Adagio Teas
80

The smell in the tin is incredible. The taste in the cup is good, but not incredible. I like this tea with milk. I don’t really like it plain. Will I reorder this tea, probably not. If the smell in the tin was equal to the taste in the cup…Yes, but it is not:(

Orange U Slim from The Jade Teapot

I am on a roll with great teas from The Jade Teapot!
This is a dark Oolong with a mere hint of orange. Smooth brew. Classic Oolong taste. Good for multiple infusions. I easily got three really good infusions, did not try for a fourth, getting a bit too light. I loved watching the leaves unfurl in my new glass teacup:)

Lemon Ginger Snap from The Jade Teapot
45

Refreshing lemon taste with a nice ginger touch in a nice green tea base. This is the BEST green tea blend I have ever had the pleasure of sipping. Good for multiple infusions. Nice after dinner tea.

Hazelnut from Adagio Teas

started my morning off with this tea. The smell is sweet, but the tea is mild. It stands up well to sugar and milk, but this morning I drank it plain. YUM.

I have been thinking I was looking for a vanilla tea. NO, I have been looking for hazelnut and Ceylon tea. I got my samples from Adiago today. I opened each tin and sniffed. Good smells from the two oolongs, but when I got to this one, I stopped and made a pot of tea.

The smell is intoxicating. The brew is a light black tea and the hazelnut definitely adds a dimension. Not too overpowering, just a nice complement to the Ceylon. I added milk and sugar and downed that pot instantly. I drank the second pot without milk and sugar. I like it:)

Not sure about the brew time or the temp of the water. I normally only brew tea 3 minutes. The tin recommends 5 min with water 212 degrees…so I will have to play with this and see what I like best. 3 infusions later, I really love this tea. I do think that the water does not need to be 212 degrees and 3 minutes is an adequate brewing time. But I will continue to experiment with my sample. I can tell I need to place another Adiago order soon, the sample will be gone in a few days:))

Honey Ginseng from The Republic of Tea

Maybe I got a bad batch, but yuck!
teabags smelt horrible..but went ahead and brewed. BIG mistake, the smell almost was too much for me, but I did manage a sip before I emptied my pot apologizing all the while for making such a horrible tea in her.

Ginger, Peach & Apricot from The Boston Tea Company
92

OMG, this tea is wonderful. Smooth fruity black tea. Light tea with peach as the dominant flavor. Good for mulitple infusions.
When I first tasted this tea, I was not too impressed…but I am almost out of my other black tea and I thought “why not try this tea again” and I am so glad that I did.

Plum Oolong from Dr. Tea's Tea Garden

Pleasant aroma. Earthy taste profile. The tartness of the plums shines through this amber infusion. Good for multiple infusions.

STAY CALM AND DRINK TEA

Steam rises from a cup of tea

and we are wrapped in history,

inhaling ancient times and lands,

comfort of ages in our hands.
