300 Tasting Notes
My tin arrived today…doing a happy dance:) ripped open the box and brewed a pot straight away..OMG this is a Damn Fine Tea! I really like this one, perfect all by itself and as the label implied my elf vigor was quickly restored after a very trying day. I am not experiencing any astringency, just a perfectly balanced blend of black teas..which I suspect has a Ceylon base. I am on my second/last infusion, it is much lighter than the first but still very drinkable. I am so pleased that I jumped on the recent sale:)
This tea pairs well with a hearty breakfast. I added a raw sugar packet and 2 TB of milk. Yummy in the best sort of ways:)
Thanks to mrawlins2 I had enough of this sampling to make a pot of this tea. Smooth, not bitter and not astringent. Paired wonderfully with my apple tart and then with some dark chocolate. I drank the whole pot before it had a chance to cool even the least little bit. After reading all the reviews on this on, I am eager to resteep and enjoy this one again today.
I was down to one teaspoon of this fabulous tea and then the mail man came and brought me not two ounces but FOUR ounces of this delightful tea. I am set, let the snow begin…have I mentioned that it was like 60 degrees here today…where is the snow? I told hubby that we lived in the wrong place!!!
Got my order of this tea in just in the nick of time…I don’t want my tin to be empty for even one day.
Love this blend so much.. it is just basic, but I really like basic these days:)
Here we go again. This pairs so wonderfully with chocolate:)
My first day back to school. Happy New Year!!!
The hardest part of making this tea is waiting 7 minutes for it to brew. The smell is so delicious…ripe strawberries fresh off the vine.
note to self, must order more of this tea this week
I always seem to be drawn back to this tea almost on a daily basis.
Why? you ask.
1. It is a simple tea, good for two great infusions.
2. I don’t have to add anything to enjoy the taste of the tea.
3. I really like the crispness of the blood orange peels.
4. It tastes good hot or cold, so it is good to carry with me to school:)
5. It is the prettiest tea in my cupboard and the smell in the tin is addicting.
Made this tea the way Marcus describes this morning. Raw sugar and milk added before I add the tea to my cup. It is a complex cup, but I am not getting chocolate notes. I fear my brewing method is still lackig something:(
Weather is beginning to turn cold and this morning these tips tasted just right. added a wee bit of milk and a scant teaspoon of agave nectar. Yum:)
