Shared a pot of this with my MIL last night on a chilly August evening and it was delicious as usual! A lovely treat!

I was very curious about this tea. So I had to order a sample.
I used 15 flowers for this cuppa.

This tastes very floral (obviously!) and very similar to chamomile. It is actually very comforting and calming. I am not sure if I would drink it all the time, but it would be nice every once in awhile.

I resteeped for 3 minutes, and it was quite similar in taste.

It is ok chilled, but I much prefer it hot.

drank Ruby Pie by Butiki Teas
806 tasting notes

I finallly ordered this! I was waiting to make a big order at Butiki since shipping is kinda expensvie now, so I might as well make it worth it!

This black tea is deliciously fresh strawberry and rhubarb. There is a slight baked pie taste. I added some rock sugar half way through and this really brings out the baked pie taste even more.

I resteeped this for 4 minutes and it was a little weaker, but still delicious.

I chilled some of this and it is delicious as well!

Good job Sil (I think it was Sil anyway!) on suggesteing this combination in the contest!

Thank you Teavivre for this free sample with my order!
I used 1 tsp of leaf for this cup.
I have discovered just recently that I really enjoy Keemuns so I am trying all of Teavivre’s for comparison to see which one I want to permanently keep a stock of.

This tea is bold with a little hint of smoke and some light fruity notes especially in the aftertaste.
I definitely enjoy the premium keemun more, and got a sample of the superfine as well to try!

Sipdown!
I sweetened this with 1tsp of sugar, which is now a little too sweet for my tastes. It is good though, tastes like cranberry cocktail now!

It is really time to finish this sample. I have had it for far too long. I think it was sent to me by Will Work for Tea I think.

Last time I tried it, I recall it being a little astringent. I looked at previous notes, and Kittena had mentioned a 2 minute steep….now this is better. Slight almond notes with a nice black base that isn’t too “in your face with a light baked goods taste.” I also get a slight citrus note in the aftertaste. I will certainly stick with the 2 minute infusion from now on.

this goes superbly with almond milk :P

My Butiki order came yesterday and I immediately opened the box and brewed this one up!
I like mint, and I love chocolate, so this one was sure to be a hit….and of course it was. Mint is definitely the strongest flavour for me. The chocolate adds a nice creaminess in the background.
Delicious and a wonderful bedtime treat!

My Buitiki order came last night!! It was too late when I received it to have a black tea though, so I had to wait until this morning…..torture I tell ya! I also needed the caffeine kick this morning because my 2 month old was up at 4:45am…..she usually sleeps until at least 5:30. And it definitely has a good caffeine kick!
WOW, this is amazing! Smooth caramel, with a slighter hint of vanilla. The base definitely shines through so malty and smooth. I can’t even describe how good this is.
I resteeped this around 4 minutes, maybe a little bit more because I got distracted.

Chilled, this is also good, but I prefer it hot for sure.

drank Coconut Grove by DAVIDsTEA
806 tasting notes

I love coconut, so no shock that I really enjoy this tea. I am also a big fan of white teas. It is creamy and smooth, with lots of coconut flavour. It is really too bad that there is artificial flavouring in this tea.
Resteep at 4 minutes.

Chilled, this tea is equally as delicious but in a different, more tropical way.

This also makes an excellent smoothie with passionfruit, vanilla yogurt, frozen mango, and 2 cubes of frozen coconut milk.

195 °F / 90 °C 3 min, 0 sec

Side note: I previously did not like oolongs cold, but lately, I have been craving iced tea so much. So, I started trying oolongs chilled after brewing hot, resteeping, and combining both steeps to chill in the fridge.

On to this tea, I now also enjoy this cold as well as hot. Delicious, and it seems a little sweeter cold.

Hello,
I am a nurse, I love to do so many things: reading, card making, scrapbooking, photography, playing with my nieces, shopping, and of course TEA!

I only started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I had a DavidsTea for the first time and have been obsessed ever since! My favourite is probably white but I have black every morning to wake me up! I enjoy most flavours out there! My favourite flavours are nutty, fruity, chocolate, jasmine, tropical.

Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
