812 Tasting Notes

I used 2tsp for this session.
Sweet potatoe notes are the most prominent in this cup with slight caramel notes and a sneaky bit of citrus somewhere in the background. I am not sure if anyone else is getting citrus notes (I didn’t read the other notes first this time), or if it is just crazy me.

Resteep at 2minutes was a little less grainy, which was also delicious.

185 °F / 85 °C 1 min, 0 sec

It presents aroma of sweet potato when brewed, tastes smooth and mellow with sweet aftertaste.

Mmm…..delicious! This tea is so calming and relaxing. Pecan notes are prevalent with that buttery, smooth, sweet maple. The oolong base was a wise choice for this tea.
Resteep at 4.5 minutes was still good, however, it did lose a lot of sweetness.

I really enjoy white teas and this one was no exception. It is slightly sweet with fresh pineapple and that creamy note that Stacy always blends so well. Oh wait….what is that….it’s the cilantro but it is not overpowering or too strong. Delicious. I NEVER would have thought to pair these together!
It isn’t quite as good as my beloved Flowery pineapple oolong, but it is definitely up there!
Resteeped for 4 minutes was also great!

175 °F / 79 °C 3 min, 30 sec

this one is really delicious

What? I am the first to review this! I am not very good with my descriptions, so please forgive me. Thank you so much Teavivre for including this free sample in my order!

I used 3 tsp of leaf for this cup. It filled the steeper up completely.

This was delicious. I have decided that I really love roasted oolongs with that sweet buttery roasty taste. This tea was no exception and I found it slightly sweet with some fruity notes. It wasn’t overly vegetal which I enjoy.

It was so good that I resteeped 3 times at 2,3,and 4 minutes. The fourth steep was a little weak but it was still delicious!

Perfect description.

Thanks! I hope it does the tea justice

drank Creamy Eggnog by Butiki Teas
812 tasting notes

Mmmm, I so should have ordered this before. I usually shy away a little from greens because they are usually my least fav kind of tea unless they are jasmine green. But this green is SO good! Creamy and a thick mouthfeel with prominent hints of vanilla. I agree with some other notes that it tastes more like custard than eggnog maybe, but I can definitely see the eggnog as well. I didn’t add any sweetener though.

I resteeped 4.5minutes.

Next time, I will add some sweetener.

Side note: Stacy, do you happen to know the calorie information on the rock sugar? Don’t worry if you don’t have it easily accessible or you don’t know, I was just curious for my weight watcher points!

Stacy’s greens are some of the best. I don’t like a lot of greens either!

You can use Stevia or Truvia for 0 points.

Shared a pot of this with my MIL last night on a chilly August evening and it was delicious as usual! A lovely treat!

I was very curious about this tea. So I had to order a sample.
I used 15 flowers for this cuppa.

This tastes very floral (obviously!) and very similar to chamomile. It is actually very comforting and calming. I am not sure if I would drink it all the time, but it would be nice every once in awhile.

I resteeped for 3 minutes, and it was quite similar in taste.

It is ok chilled, but I much prefer it hot.

drank Ruby Pie by Butiki Teas
812 tasting notes

I finallly ordered this! I was waiting to make a big order at Butiki since shipping is kinda expensvie now, so I might as well make it worth it!

This black tea is deliciously fresh strawberry and rhubarb. There is a slight baked pie taste. I added some rock sugar half way through and this really brings out the baked pie taste even more.

I resteeped this for 4 minutes and it was a little weaker, but still delicious.

I chilled some of this and it is delicious as well!

Good job Sil (I think it was Sil anyway!) on suggesteing this combination in the contest!

Thank you Teavivre for this free sample with my order!
I used 1 tsp of leaf for this cup.
I have discovered just recently that I really enjoy Keemuns so I am trying all of Teavivre’s for comparison to see which one I want to permanently keep a stock of.

This tea is bold with a little hint of smoke and some light fruity notes especially in the aftertaste.
I definitely enjoy the premium keemun more, and got a sample of the superfine as well to try!

I am a nurse, I love to do so many things: reading, card making, scrapbooking, photography, playing with my nieces, shopping, and of course TEA!

I only started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I had a DavidsTea for the first time and have been obsessed ever since! My favourite is probably white but I have black every morning to wake me up! I enjoy most flavours out there! My favourite flavours are nutty, fruity, chocolate, jasmine, tropical.

Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
