1184 Tasting Notes
This is a sip down from last week but I forgot to log it.
I actually enjoyed this tisane and I think I would even purchase more if they brought it back.
The ingredients seem like an odd pairing, but somehow it works as a cold brewed or iced tea.
Preparation
This is a sip down today.
I have really grown to love these roasty oolongs. This one in particular has really grown on me since the first time I tried it. I will miss the sweet waffle cone notes.
I resteeped at 2 and 3 minutes.
Slide note: this brings my cupboard down to 200 teas but I haven’t logged my new 52 teas or their best sellers sampler. And I have another Verdant order that should be arriving pretty soon!
Flavors: Flowers, Honey
Preparation
This will be a short lived sipdown. I was hoarding this pouch but I have an order in the mail, so I finally got up the nerve to drink the rest of it up. I have a bad habit of “saving” my good teas, but I have no idea why. I am worth it, and I should drink special teas whenever I want!
I have found my preferable brewing of this tea to be 1 Tbls of leaf. For the first steep, I boil the water and let it cool for a minute or 2.
Then I resteep with boiling water for 4 and 5 minutes.
Flavors: Cocoa
Preparation
Funny, I did realize the same thing this year and changed my habits. Was saving my good tea, and by the time I was having it, it was stale or not as fresh as it should be. I now have my best teas on a heavy rotation every week. Feels really good :-)
I finally ordered more of this tea so now I can stop hoarding it. I made a Verdant order using my certificate from the Black Friday order. So, ya I have made too many orders lately.
This tea though, I want to always keep this cocoa gem in my cupboard. To my surprise, I actually have enough leaf for one more cup!
Flavors: Cocoa
LOL now that i have more tea experience there are definitely nicer jasmine teas out there, but once in awhile i still like the davids one!
