Sip down today of this lovely jasmine tea. It tastes natural and not perfumey. It is light and not vegetal.
I think I prefer the pearls from Teavivre for my jasmine fix because they are sweeter and smoother

LOL now that i have more tea experience there are definitely nicer jasmine teas out there, but once in awhile i still like the davids one!

drank Guayusa (Organic) by DAVIDsTEA

I have been forgetting to log my teas lately :(
I drank this awhile ago. I think this base is too earthy for me. I can drink guayusa but it has to be flavoured I think. I don’t think I would buy more of this unless my tastes change..

drank Perfect Pear by DAVIDsTEA

This is a sip down from last week but I forgot to log it.
I actually enjoyed this tisane and I think I would even purchase more if they brought it back.
The ingredients seem like an odd pairing, but somehow it works as a cold brewed or iced tea.

Preparation
Iced

This is a sip down today.
I have really grown to love these roasty oolongs. This one in particular has really grown on me since the first time I tried it. I will miss the sweet waffle cone notes.

I resteeped at 2 and 3 minutes.

Slide note: this brings my cupboard down to 200 teas but I haven’t logged my new 52 teas or their best sellers sampler. And I have another Verdant order that should be arriving pretty soon!

Flavors: Flowers, Honey

Boiling 1 min, 0 sec 8 OZ / 236 ML

yay for getting to 200! (well sort of) :)

This is a partial sipdown tonight because I am pretty sure there is some of this is the best sellers sampler.
I brewed a very strong latte because there was only a little extra left but not enough for another cup. I really enjoy this strong!

drank Laoshan Black by Verdant Tea

This will be a short lived sipdown. I was hoarding this pouch but I have an order in the mail, so I finally got up the nerve to drink the rest of it up. I have a bad habit of “saving” my good teas, but I have no idea why. I am worth it, and I should drink special teas whenever I want!

I have found my preferable brewing of this tea to be 1 Tbls of leaf. For the first steep, I boil the water and let it cool for a minute or 2.
Then I resteep with boiling water for 4 and 5 minutes.

Flavors: Cocoa

Preparation
3 min, 0 sec 8 OZ / 236 ML

I’m the same way. I always hear my mom’s voice saying “save the best for last.” :-)

Funny, I did realize the same thing this year and changed my habits. Was saving my good tea, and by the time I was having it, it was stale or not as fresh as it should be. I now have my best teas on a heavy rotation every week. Feels really good :-)

Morgana, that’s what I always think too,
But you are right TeaFairy, I need to drink my best teas all the time,

This is a sipdown. Thanks again to Angel at Teavivre for this sample ages ago!
I enjoyed this white tea. Hay and light floral notes are the most prevalent.

I finally ordered more of this tea so now I can stop hoarding it. I made a Verdant order using my certificate from the Black Friday order. So, ya I have made too many orders lately.
This tea though, I want to always keep this cocoa gem in my cupboard. To my surprise, I actually have enough leaf for one more cup!

Flavors: Cocoa

I finished off this tea on the weekend with the inlaws. It is very sweet and good for a treat. Goodbye for now, we might meet again sweet lips.

Bio

Hello,
I am a nurse. I have numerous hobbies: reading, crocheting, crafting, card making, scrapbooking, photography, shopping, and of course drinking TEA!

I started drinking loose leaf tea in Dec. 2010 when I went into a DavidsTea for the first time and have been hooked ever since! My favourite is probably white tea, but I also love black and oolong. I also like a nice relaxing rooibos or herbal in the evening. On Sundays, I like to treat myself and make a tea latte.

My favourite flavours are nutty, vanilla, chocolate, jasmine, tropical, fruity, earl grey.
My dislikes are lavender, rose, hibiscus, banana, and straight green or overly vegetal teas.

I am admittedly fairly generous in my rating scale. Most of my teas I rate at 90 and above, and would re-stock these teas.
Anything under 90 I probably wouldn’t re-stock unless I found a great price.
