Yi Tribal Puerh(coins) from Wild Tea Qi
83

This one is a decent/good Puerh to me, Slightly “fishy” aroma at first in the rinse and first steep that was gone by the second steep(perhaps i’ll break one and air it out next time). The color is quite very dark almost completely black and “thick”. The flavor is nice a solid, earthy and slightly sweet with a pleasant “doughy” tast that is reminiscent of Pie Crust which was very nice. Best of all to me was the leafe itself, intact, large leafe pieces, no crumbling and very little stems. Good Tea!
I added this Tea here but No Photo, Sorry Steepster just ain’t gonna let me add the photo, oh well at least the tea is logged :)

JING GU "WHITE PEKOE SILVER NEEDLES" WHITE TEA * SPRING 2012 from Yunnan Sourcing
89

Awesome good white tea, the color is very pale and the flavor is bold, It does have a slight nuttiness to it and the description say “fresh and fruity” i’m not getting the fruity but instead maybe a very faint floral taste, not a specific floral taste like jasmine or any other flower that I know of just kinda generic floral type taste sensation even more so in the aftertaste, it lingers on my tongue and the back of my mouth. As far as the freshness I’m not sure that I qualify to make statement about the freshness of a tea but it taste fresh to me and the delicious lingering after taste does leave my mouth feeling “fresh”, the intake of breath following a sip of this tea is very nice too almost like i can taste it in the air and in my lungs lol just part of the aftertaste i guess.
The leafe is very beautiful, one on the prettiest teas that i’ve seen, rather large tips or needles “whatever” leaves! that are very fuzzy like a lambs ear.
I’ve never really been big on white teas but here lately I’ve been buying teas that Look pretty to me in hope that their taste would compare to their beauty and so far those have been really good and a few of them are other white teas so now maybe i’ll get into white teas a little more or at least discover some that I do enjoy like this one.

Taoist Tea Chrystal from Wild Tea Qi
98

There it goes, finally posted :)
I received one of my orders today, this Ancient Puerh Tea Crystal was one of my items, I made this and I must say that I was not very fond of the taste at all BUT the “feelings” I get from it is just unbelievable. Very very Happy feeling now, taste like a medicine or something but it must be good medicine and once ya start feeling good it don’t taste so bad anymore.
It get a High rating for the High feeling it gives me Like a drug, Chinese Black Magic :)

Da Hong Pao from zhifayulong (ebay store)
83

This one isn’t bad at all to me, In fact I like it quite a bit, It’s nice and dark and roasty and delicious, It’s Da Hong Pao what else can I say they all seem to taste a little different in ways but still slightly the same in ways.
I order it once just a little 99cent sample size package of it and I ended up ordering more then I just went ahead and got me 250g cuz it is good to me and it all came in little samples packages for taking with me on the go sometimes(fox full of those little guys)
I’m at the hospital waiting room while my mom has her brain surgery and as usual no good tea in the hospitals so I bring some of this, I did have to use a styrofoam cup but I got two cups and a plastic lid and kinda made my own styrofoam gaiwan by simple using the lid to strain over into the other cup, it worked very well :) Anyways tastey you should try it :)

Gui Fei Oolong from Butiki Teas

Superb Tea, right now I just don’t have much to say about it because my mind is preoccupied with other things, I haven’t seen Lance since Thursday when he went into the hospital for hip replacement and worried for my mother.
I will get to see Lance tomorrow(at his moms, where he is recovering) but I stayed home on this hospital visit because I’m just not in a proper emotional state right now and he needed stress free time in the hospital, I’m stressing very badly.
I’m worried for my mother’s brain surgery on Monday to remove a tumor and hope it is a success and if it is then we have to pray that it’s not cancer, Please those of you who pray, Pray for my Mom :)
Its a really good Tea tho I’ll give it a proper review soon just wanted to log it and I guess I wanted to let you guys know what’s happening in my life right now.

Season's Pick Yunnan Black Snail ( ZY07 ) from Upton Tea Imports
83

“I enjoyed this one with milk and sugar not because it needed it but because I just wanted to because it was really good, I like teas this way sometimes I just don’t like having to bring out the cream and sugar and all cuz I’m picky and that is a whole different setup from my “usual” but this one really just almost taste like a chocolate flavored Tea with milk and sugar, Really I have had “Milk Chocolate” Flavored Teas that just come nowhere near this one"
Please view my blog post here for a longer review and a “rant” about mean peoples on the interweb, Please don’t view my blog on this one if you hate a rant or are a mean peoples or get offend by a few potty words :)

Yunnan Golden Tips Imperial (ZY85) from Upton Tea Imports
84

I don’t think this is the one I got current, mine looks more orangish to mr and the number ZY77 but the same name, Anyways WoW! this one is good very bold and strong not as bold as an Assam or a breakfast tea but it was plenty bold enough stand alone tea with slight hints of chestnut.this tea was begging for sugar and cream and i was in the mood for it, it was like chocolate goodness such a good tea, I want more just to drink with cream and sugar.

Yunnan Premium Silver Thread Green Tea from PuerhShop.com

This tea is really good to me I probably just never had one like it.I am going to attempt to log a review of this one based one my hand written notes, it will be short so I don’t go astray too much like I’m sure I will in my blog, if i post it.
Anyways hard to tell is this tea Green Or white tea cuz i kinda pick up characteristics of both so it kinda confused me, Any way here is just some of my notes please with for the entire blog soon bear with me going through some horrible shit right not and gotta stay medicated, Any some from notes~~ Damn got two and a half pages omg it sill I’ll try to make it short sorry :)

Flecks of Gold from sTEAp Shoppe

This tea is very pretty, the name is fitting because the golden tips in the Yunnan black tea are very appealing and with a good imagination the appearance cold be reminiscent of seeing gold flakes shimmering in the dirt.
1st SESSION~ You saw it on video there if ya watched, Probably not as long as suggested but still great. The Tea liquor was very thick and bold enough to probably take milk very well with hints of cocoa and slight spice tone, little bit malty almost reminiscent of a Assam, Very solid black tea, no harsh astringency but the pleasant astringency that I’d expect from a such a bold black tea not bitter at all in fact very smooth and mellow, easy to drink. Would be a perfect morning tea or a great afternoon tea to me in fact I decided I wanted to try it like a with some milk and sugar like I would some breakfast Teas so I postponed this post until Saturday after I’ve tasted it that way. Also I got 3 nice Strong steeps(which were quite consistent to me in taste/flavor), by the 4th steep it was still good but fading a little in flavor enough to not warrant a 5th try.
2ND SESSION~I used 1 and 1/2 Perfect Scoops~from Teavana~ the session I used the same and had 1 scoop extra so I put it in too since I was going to use milk and steep time was as directed(i did not time the first session).
With Milk & Sugar it stood up very well, I was just as I expected it would I knew it would be a great breakfast tea that way.
It became very creamy and much more smooth, it was as if cows were made to give milk to this tea lol. With milk and sugar the cocoa hint kinda changed into a little milk chocolate note it was quite enjoyable also that slight spice which was so slight it was almost unnoticeable really stuck its head out and started swimming in the milk and was now quite noticeable and with that little milk chocolate note it played very well.
Please Veiw my entire blog post on this tea here and check out my photos, Don’t forget to google+ it :) Thanks

"Wu Yi" Water Fairy Oolong from Upton Tea Imports
69

Today is the day that I tried this with a little sweetener, Lance shared it with me too, it was really good but thats about all else I can say :)

Wild Purple Buds Puerh from Butiki Teas
80

I got a 2011 and a 2012 and bewed them exactly the same with Lances help, These brew up very pale and have a wonderful young Raw puerh taste/flavor, anybody who drinks puerh knows what i’m talking about, Sweet slight astringency, very little bitter, some greenish toasty notes but Not grassy at all, the 2011 version may be slight stronger in all these notes and may have a better “Raw puerh” flavor. They both give a very nice feeling after drinking, a general feeling of well being :) I like these a lot.

Jin Xuan Gaoshan Oolong from ShanghaiStory
Assam CTC BOP Estate Blend Organic (TA15) from Upton
83

This one was pretty good to me, we drank it with milk and sugar because Lance wanted it “breakfast/british” style. I was quite bold and nice and it was actually pretty good to be drank as a “breakfast” tea but to me it was lacking in one area, I would have loved to have some of that yummy Assam Malty notes in this, I was just not malty at all like I like my Assams, but it was still very good tea :) Even better about it was that Lance and I created a memory together by having this tea together this morning and talking about it and comparing notes, we don’t often enough share a cup of the same tea so that was Boss!

Oh Yeah Please follow Lance here he won’t be on much to talk about teas but sometime he does, thanks guys :) he is http://steepster.com/Bluii

Dragon Feelers from Butiki Teas
88

1st steep in the Gawain was 3 minutes as per directions, it brews up a nice clear yellow color with a slight green touch (according to Lance*), the taste was very delicate but quite pleasant slightly vegetal flavor that i just can’t place, tho the taste was delicate the flavor of the tea was above the line. No bitter or astringency just wonderful tea flavor.
2nd steep I added 25 seconds,it yielded the exact same pale color and that same wonderfully delicate tea flavor as before but of course slightly stronger and this time unknown pleasant vegetal flavor became kinda like sweet peas?? not sure, it was very delicious tho :)
~I’ll have a little blog post of this one soon with photos and a better review :)~

Chance Combinations from Custom

I added Siam Tees Santikhiri Oloong with DMS black Pearl also from siam tees to create a nice iced tea blend, I made it a few time and it is awesome, I’m fact i had some this moring i keep some in the fridge sometimes for something cold in the mornings. Very nice iced tea almost chocolatey :)

Earl Grey from Rainbow whole foods , jackson, ms
79

This one is delicious! It’s everything an Earl Grey should be to me, it reminds very much of Stash Tea’s Double Bergamot EG. The aroma is excellent and fills the whole room, mmmmmmmm :)

China Oolong from Twinings
1

Not my cup of tea either, honestly this one was just bitter and taste like asparagus, I have one more of these Twining’s samples to try perhaps I’ll like it.
