This one was weird. Oolong is my favorite tea, but I’ve never had flavored oolong. And I don’t think I will in the future, because that seems almost criminal to me.

I guess it’s personal taste, but it just seemed like a very strange combination to me. It tasted like it was advertised – chocolate and oolong. But the combo just struck me as wrong.

I enjoyed this tea very much, and may invest in a full tin in the future.
However, I got almost no chocolate flavor or creaminess from the tea at all. To me it just tasted like a really nice mint tea.
I didn’t get any of the greenish residue that some people here mention. I used a very fine strainer, which I think is pretty much needed for most herbal and rooibos teas.

Lovely tea, with a strong maple flavor, which works for me, but might be a bit much for some people.

Works nicely with milk/cream, as I find most rooibos do.

Bio

Wasn’t a fan of tea until I took a Chinese tea ceremony course while studying in Taiwan. Now I am slightly addicted. And also very knowledgeable in Chinese teas and Chinese tea ceremony.

I love all teas sans green (just tastes like grass to me… with the exception of genmaicha). My favorite is Ten Ren’s Aged Kings tea.

I collect teas like it’s going out of style.
