This doesn’t smell or taste anything like nuts, but rather like apple crumble. I loooove it, and I hate most herbal teas. Might need to pick up a bag of this!
58 Tasting Notes
First steep: No cream or sugar. Sweet with a hint of tartness. I don’t taste the EG much in this at all?
Second steep: One sugar, one cream. Also steeped for longer since I wasn’t sure how much it had been weakened. Even better! Definitely a favourite.
Em sent me a bit of this to try and I’m enjoying it while I watch the Doctor Who Christmas special! This is a really nice tea with a sweet caramel-y flavour. It’s pouring rain outside and this just makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. _
Not one of the better teas in the variety pack I got — it’s a standard breakfast blend, inoffensive and easy to drink even without cream and sugar. Nothing special but not unpleasant.
I really liked this tea — it was great hot but even better once it cooled — I think it would make an awesome iced tea. :D
Cavocorax sent me a sample of this to try :D I was hoping to compare it to DT’s Chocolate Orange pu’erh which I hadn’t enjoyed at all because of the earthy/fishy taste. :S
Steeped 5 minutes and tried it unsweetened. I taste a lot of orange but not so much the chocolate. It’s still really nice though, although a bit weak? I wouldn’t want to add cream to this because then it would taste like nothing, but I do like it. :D
Yup, this one again. I added waaay too much cream but didn’t want to let the cup go to waste. Even weak you still can taste that lovely chocolatey goodness.
Now I’m afraid I’m cheating and going with something a bit stronger for a Friday night — hot chocolate with Baileys irish creme. Shhh…
The wonderful Cavocorax sent me some of this to try, and so I was very excited to make a cup of it tonight; it’s so rainy and cold out. (Still no snow here, though!) First taste: hnnnnng chocolate. It’s sooo chocolatey and vanilla-y and yes I am making these adjectives because I can.
Definitely one of my favourites. _ I will totally be ordering some with my next DT order~
Okay so this is one of those teas where you can’t really get more than one steep out of it? It’s been steeping for about 7 minutes now and it’s only a very very very light amber colour. Welp. On the other hand, that means I might make it though the tin a bit quicker.
Btw, drinking this in my new Weeping Angel mug which my BFF Sam gave me for Christmas tonight!
couple drops of stevia and this was a very good brew this morning!
cake 4 breakfast. WINNING.
Took this in to the girls at work this week since I had no luck myself. From reading reviews on the boards it seems pu-erh often has a fishy scent, and that’s why it smelled/tasted so off. I think I might make a new cup and do the rinsing method suggested to see if that helps! :D
Had a cup this morning at work. God why am I such a sucker for earl grey blends.
I’m really glad I gave this one another try — I steeped it for longer and now I get more of the blackberry. Still no vanilla though. :/ Added a drop of stevia to sweeten and it’s a lot tastier than my first attempt.
Tastes just like one of those chocolate oranges! But it’s not for me; I guess I don’t really like citrusy teas? Because all I taste is the orange, no chocolate. :S
This is one of my top 3 teas, I think. It’s just SO GOOD.

OH. MY. GOD. ajlkfhakjlsfhlksjdahlsjf. how to even describe this tea? aside from DELICIOUS AND AMAZING AND HOW IS THIS A TEA IT TASTES LIKE CAKE.
Tried this Wednesday as per a recommendation of my supervisor… do not want. I just can’t stand herbal teas. I think this theoretically would be great for my stomach problems since it has both ginger and peppermint, but if it tastes bad, no can do.
Took this into work today and it’s definitely keeping me caffienated. Ooooops.

I’m embarrassed to admit that while in the summer I always get an iced passion tea lemonade from Starbucks, I didn’t realize that they actually sold the tea! Starbucks has BOGO on tazo teas today, so I picked up a box and brewed a cup. And yeah, I think I will stick to drinking it cold in the warmer months! I found it quite bitter and tart, and I added a fair bit of sugar to it. :3
