Aroma: Smokey, damp, earthy
Color: Dark amber
Taste: Very robust with a lingering smokey oak finish, earthy, rich
Notes: This was my very first encounter with pu’reh and it wasn’t all too bad. Will take some getting used to. Definitely a very unique flavor that lingers a while after you swallow. The flavor got more complex as I re steeped. I re steeped 5 times increasing 15 seconds a steep. I think this type will grow on me, I could see this being consumed with certain foods to enhance the flavor.

My love of tea began with a quest to find the best bubble tea. After some research I found an Asian inspired tea shop that happened to serve amazing bubble tea, as well as loose tea. I was really new to loose tea but my friend ordered jasmine pearl tea. Once I took a sip, I was hooked! Tea soon became my new passion.
