This stuff was amazing. my first Silver needle definitely didn’t disappoint. I don’t really know how to describe the taste but it was delicious.
103 Tasting Notes
I don’t know if I necessarily enjoy drinking smoked pinewood tea. I mean its okay. I can see why people would enjoy it.. I can also see why people use it with steak marinades.. Idk.. I’m trying to like this.. I don’t think I do though. And I don’t think I’ll make a mission of it like pu`erh to like it because that I understood why people like it more. This.. meh.. idk.. not a fan. Rating based on User preference not in comparison to other lapsangs

Cinnamon and vanilla come through mildly. The rest is kind of just.. idk.. I enjoyed it but not something I’d order. Sample from marcel
I really can’t compete with *Bonnie*’s previous review so I won’t try. I also got this from mrmopar in a tea swap with a few other pu`erhs and msut admit i’m starting to like the stuff. Brewed in gaiwan with rinse 20/10/20/30/etc. infusions until was pu`ewy no more.
Dry: Smells very strongly of chocolate
Brewed: Tastes strongly of creamy chocolate with this idk how to describe it flavor.. I suppose its the white tea base the tea just has this complex flavor to it that is just delicious.
Smokey chocolaty bergemont oily TERRIBLE earl grey tea
So I gave this tea another try after giving it a 25/100 before for having this perfume taste and this time that was gone – perhaps I had made somethign with rose recently and that carried over? Who knows. But there is this very so slight taste that is just odd. The main thing with this tea though is the apple. The apple definitely comes through and tastes amazing. The caramel is also there and quite tasty. This is definitely now on reorder list.
What a great way to end my day started with an amazing Verdant black tea which was followed by lots of meh tea. Tastes amazing. Unfortunately don’t have muc of it which forced me to place an immediate order. Flavored rooibos for night time is amazing.

Tea smelled good dry and made. The tea was quite bitter though. And it was only brewed 3 minutes. Not a fan of my first Nina’s and was glad it came as a sample.
New to verdant and they definitely have not disappointed. Seriously. If you haven’t gone Verdant yet – do it. Its so worth it. If anything to treat your taste buds on a special occasion. Or when you’re feeling bad. Or just cause. Just do it!
I have had a few unflavored blacks but nothing nearly this delicious. The flavors listed in the NOTES: chocolate, scotch, caramel, walnut, coconut, jasmine” are all quite present. The coconut is the faintest but there.
Sweet very mildly vegetal green tea. I quite enjoyed it and will gladly have this as my go to green for a while.
Sample from Claire as I hadn’t had many roasted oolongs. Definitely a fan of this tea and this style of oolongs. I certainly don’t have the palate to comment on flavors so much but it as amazing. Thanks claire!
I really like chocolate teas but didn’t like this one so much. Was just chocolate. I suppose I like the others because they were chocolate blends and not just plain? If you know what I mean? with this one I just wondered why I grabbed tea and not hot chocolate.
I suppose I got what the tea asked for and my poor rating is based on personal preference and not the tea itself, but I rate based on what I like after all so I’m okay with that. I’ve been sampling too much della terra and should go back to my favs which are amazing.
I like chili teas but apparently not with orange so much. Was just.. wrong.
Not very minty, not very pu-ehy. But overall enjoyed it. I’m more a fan of orange pu-erhs though. Will definitely try this again soon though. Sample from KallieBoo!

Never thought Cherry Rose Sencha’s would be so popular.. This stuff was kind of meh until I added sugar (sugar added to green tea? ya, fail!) but it was then quite flavorful. Thanks KallieBoo!
One of the first teavana teas that I loved. I think I may have to place an order with them just for this. The flavor was amazing. The berry and ginger definitely outshined the coconut. Thanks Kallieboo! for sharing. Second steep was still ginger overload which was nice.
Have the 36 oz one and use it regularly for tea sharing. Love it! Will be buying the 18 oz variety soon.
