16 Tasting Notes

Bravissimo from DAVIDsTEA
98

This has turned into one of my favorite teas recently. I don’t like chamomile. When i first tried this tea it was sweet, and it made my mouth feel funny. (like too much throat lozenges, kinda made my mouth slippery) which was fun. but kinda weird. Then i tried this when i was getting a cold. AHH! what a relief! There is a lot of flavor which can be a bit much when you aren’t sick, but when your senses are muted by sickness-coming and you want your throat to feel awesome, this does just that. So delicious if you like licorice, and i highly, highly recommend this for those sickies. and oh, and when i’m not sick- i have this iced for caffeine-free-hydration :)

Lemon Myrtle (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
95

Smells like lemon Jolly Rancher! which means it can’t go wrong for me :) I had this tea hot, naked and it was pretty delicious. But when it really made me give me this super high rating was. I had a pretty intense meal and was kind of afraid of smelling like food (this is a huge thing for me, btw) aaand i had lemon myrtle + spearmint ICED! OH my GOD! it was so awesome!! I couldn’t get over it. It would be SO perfect as a hot-day-pick-me-up when it was so good iced in Winter. I would definitely recommend this tea for fun mixes :)

Forever Nuts from DAVIDsTEA
99

AHHH forevernuts! how could i ever say anything bad about you?! Delicious and superfantastic to look at. Great tea for midnight candy cravings and when you want to feel pretty with a glass cup of pink tea! My cat friggin loves the smell of this tea, and it’s just so nommy when i’m craving granola. which is very often (my meal plan usually consists of granola, granola and more granola.) in fact, you can put this in your granola!

Chicory Dickory Dock (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
93

So i used to work at a coffee shop. I did not care for this at all with my first cup. Then i tried it iced. caramel-y and bitter. It was so refreshing and the bitterness really helped with my loss of appetite in summer. but it’s cold out now, and I make this into a latte. Half cup of chicory dickory dock (I know it’s heavy, and you really don’t need a lot. I use half a tea spoon for half a mug) steeped 2 minutes, (the instruction says 4~5, but 2 min = less bitterness), half cup of steamed milk, a few squirts of honey. My friend who tried it agreed it’s like mocha! very chocolatey and coffee-y. bitter, sweet, and caramel!! mm i just added some cocoa powder in my last few sips and i’m a happy happy lady! :)
Did you know people used to use chicory root as a birth control? :)

Cranberry Pear from DAVIDsTEA
98

i love cranberry pear. I am loving a lot of the new teas from DAVIDsTEA right now.
I really don’t like cranberries but it smelled so enticing i had to! Oooh i’m not good with temptations ;p The cranberries in here are not tart at all, it tastes a lot more like.. cranberry sauce-y. or like ice wine! very sweet. the pear in it is gorgeous. so smooth, so creamy, so luxurious! Makes the whole ordeal so elegant. This can be a lot of fun when iced because it is so fruity, my friend liked it iced much better. I will have it hot though thank you, makes me feel very pretty :)! and also getting over my dislike of cranberry makes me feel so much more. ZEN! zing! haha! i’m in a silly mood. I’ll stop writing now

Buttercream from DAVIDsTEA
96

Do you get cupcake cravings at 11pm~3am? I do! ALL the friggin time!
Is there a beautiful cupcake available at this hour or am i crafty enough to make one at home? NOPE. This usually results in grumpy moi and the unhappiness also gets to my boyfriend and, i believe my cat.
I have found my fix.
Buttercream!! I love you :D
I hate chamomile so i was reluctant at first, but this tea is a blessing! I drink this in the evening so i can ease into sleepy mode and BAM! add a little milk to it once i start craving cupcake! BOOM BAAM BLAM! there’s my fix. I love this tea. you could probably tell by the sound effect. Very creamy. Makes me feel like a million dolla getting my cupcake fix with 0 calories. This tea is a godsent <3

Apres Ski (organic) from DAVIDsTEA

I actually quite like this, it tastes a lot like rootbeer/rum toddy! I love the taste of rootbeer but don’t like drinking carbonated soda, so this is a quite the pleasant find! I quite liked this, I was quite terrified when I first smelled it, but i thought it tasted nice :)

Jun Chiyabari Nepalese Black Tea from Imperial Tea Garden
Korean Sejak from DAVIDsTEA
100

STEEP TIME. 2 MINUTE MAX! keep it at that, it’s a beautiful, beautiful tea. complex, nutty and fragrant. I absolutely adore this tea. Second steep at 1 minute gives you the more astringent (but not at all in a bad way) cup that is SO delicious. Very picky tea when it comes to steeping however SO VERY WORTH IT. You do not need to add anything to this tea. it’s perfect as it is :)

Chai Guarana from DAVIDsTEA
98

My new go-to-tea for energy boost! The blend of black tea, guarana and roasted mate keeps me going without the jitters. (sometimes keeps me up all night, so this is my morning tea!) It’s so delicious and i looove having it the Indian way, with lots of brown sugar and milk. It is so yummy and spicy it keeps me warm in the fall weather. Iced latte of this was my fave all summer, and just stocked up for the cold weather too :) highly recommend if you’re not a morning person like me

Shanti Ayurvedic Tea from DAVIDsTEA
94

I love this tea whenever i crave sweet licorice taste, and also when i need help going to sleep. This is a delicious tea and a beautiful one to look at because of the star anise, that never fails to make my day with its pretty shape! This helps me sleep because it’s never that my body isn’t tired, it’s that my mind won’t turn off. I’ll never stop thinking about whatever, and that’s when i have this tea. usually after about half the cup i’m crawling into bed. This tea relaxes my mind like no other and really gives you the "peace within!(Shanti)

Rooibos de Provence from DAVIDsTEA
96

What a delicious tea! It’s fruity, floral and every time i have a sip i feel like i have a big flower bouquet in my mouth! and i LOVE eating flowers! When i oversteep it, i don’t like it as much but it sure is delicious

David's Darjeeling from DAVIDsTEA
98

I actually steeped this Darjeeling at a much lower temperature as I like my high-altitude teas steeped that way, and it was most excellent. It was musty and had a very fruity \‘GRAPE\’ kind of note to it. It was so utterly delicious and i drank the whole cup naked, and had another. Even when the tea was cooled, it retained the deliciousness throughout and it was very pleasant over all. Buying a tin.

Kenyan Tinderet from DAVIDsTEA
96

This was the first straight black tea i’ve tried loose.
fantastic! malty! and i love looking at it also. I don’t steep this as long as the recommended steeping time. Fantastic with steamed soy milk.

Buttered Rum (organic) from DAVIDsTEA

Fantastic vanilla+coconut mix with a perfect amount of caffeine!
I love having this one iced and naked. amazing!
It is delicious with steamed milk and I love having this with some rum or kahlua on dreary and muggy days.
