I keep coming back to this in hopes that one day I’ll be able to taste the apples.

I get the same thing. As a chai, it gets a 90 in my book. As an apple chai, a 40. To get more apple you need to steep it in apple juice and/or add caramel apple creamer. :(
The apple juice is a great idea, but juice tend to wreak havoc on my blood sugar. I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing with this one: letting it get pushed to the back of my cupboard, then re-discovering it every month or so. It’s a hard life, I know… ; )
