White Grapefruit from Adagio Teas
83

This is nice and delicate. You can definitely taste the white tea, but there’s also a hint of orange in addition to the grapefruit. Yes, it doesn’t taste exactly like grapefruit, but whatever it does taste like is very pleasant with a pinch of sweetener added.

I love my new Jumbo Cup and Saucer from Adagio, so I can’t resist showing it off (with some White Grapefruit inside, of course):

Rooibos from Adagio Teas

I’m not quite sure how I feel about this…
The color is definitely beautiful in a glass cup.
It tastes woody, but there’s a kind of nasty taste hidden within. It reminds me of my high school job at CVS. If you got too close to the tobacco behind the counter, this foul smell would overwhelm you.
I guess I’ll try Honeybush next time, and see if that’s any better.

White Pear from Adagio Teas
17

I was extremely excited when I ordered this because I love pears. My first thought was that I was disappointed that there weren’t any pieces of pear mixed in with the tea. I should have stopped right there.
The tea in the tin doesn’t smell very good; kind of like hard-boiled eggs that have been laying around in some grass for a long time (think of a forgotten Easter Egg hunt).

And then there is the taste.

It tastes like nothing I’ve ever tasted before, and like something that I never want to taste ever again. It certainly doesn’t taste like pears, that’s for sure. If I had to compare it to anything, I’d say it tastes like latex and corn syrup stewed in a mug with some asparagus thrown in. It made my mouth say “ouchies.”

Never again with this one. If anyone wants to trade something for it, just Private Message me.

White Blueberry from Adagio Teas
91

I was delighted when my phone buzzed and Twitter announced to me that my order from Adagio had arrived! I recently discovered that I love white tea, so this order contained mostly flavored whites. I was most excited for White Blueberry, so I dug right into this tin and was delighted with what I saw.
The tin was full of gorgeous white tea leaves mixed with an almost equal amount of real blueberries. The aroma emanating from the mixture was very sweet. It smelled like real blueberries instead of smelling all artificial like some flavored teas I’ve had from Adagio.
The tea looked beautiful as it steeped, because the tea “dust” was washed off from the blueberries, making them turn a very pretty pinkish-purple color. It smelled wonderful as it was steeping. The sweetness was toned down a whole lot.
The taste was great, too. The white tea is very distinct, but the blueberries are as well. These two very pronounced tastes blend wonderfully. It’s obvious that they are two very different tastes, but everything is still cohesive. It really has an authentic blueberry taste. The after-taste is all blueberry.

In short, this is a great cup of tea. As an added note, I’m drinking this from my new Jumbo Cup from Adagio that my mother just gave me for my birthday. I really like the cup, too!

Jasmine Silver Needle from Adagio Teas
85

Everything about this tea is perfect. The smell isn’t too strong, and the taste is gentle all the way through. The taste is light, sweet, and perfumed. If you want to get into white teas, I’d highly recommend this as your first. I also like that it isn’t as pricey as plain silver needle.
My sample is nearly out, since the first time I opened my tin it went flying all over my carpet. I’ll be re-ordering this soon in a larger quantity since I like it so much.

Spiced Apple Chai from Adagio Teas
64

I keep coming back to this in hopes that one day I’ll be able to taste the apples.

No such luck yet…

…but I’m going to keep on trying.

This cup tasted bitter even though I didn’t oversteep. Next time I’ll add some sugar.

I’m finding this quite calming. Maybe it’ll help with my headache.

I’ve tried a lot of other teas, but this still continues to be my favorite. It boggles my mind to think that any other tea could taste better than this.

Bio

I have recently been forcibly transplanted from Princeton, New Jersey to Burleson, Texas. I’ve been recovering from culture shock ever since. When I’m not dodging scorpions and pickup trucks, I’m a college student, drummer, lover of music and animals, Harry Potter freak, and a vegetarian. I just got a job at a bookstore, which is the perfect place for somebody like me.
