2501 Tasting Notes
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 11! I’ve had this one a few times through the years, and it’s not one of my absolute S&V favorites, but it’s a nice dessert tea! I used to always drink it plain, but I tried this cup with oat milk, which definitely elevated it (and sugar of course, always sugar). It’s pleasantly nutty and mildly spiced so it really evokes some sort of baked good. The resteep is tasty too!
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 10! I’ve never liked the flavor of honey, so though I didn’t mind this one when I received it in my subscription, it was far from a favorite. I actually like it a lot more today! I don’t taste much honey – just a pleasant twang of orange on a high quality, almost chocolatey black base. It’s best cool with sugar and milk. This also begs the question – do 52teas blends only get better with age? This is the second time this has happened in this advent swap!
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 9! I liked this a lot more than I thought I would! I drank it cold, and it tasted like a mulled berry cider type of thing. The cold resteep tasted like jammy berries. Not bad at all! Teas like this are usually too tart, but this has a nice balance.
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 7! I think grapefruit teas and I end up clashing, and it’s probably not their fault. This is a bit fake/cleaner-ish to me, unfortunately. I’m drinking it cold, and I taste something herbaceous along with the somewhat bitter grapefruit. I appreciate that it’s refreshing and different, but due to my preferences, one cup is enough.
S&V Advent Day 8! The base turned out a bit harsh for me, even steeped properly. I taste the fruitiness that reminds me of dried strawberries. Nothing tastes like chocolate or cream. It’s just a pretty basic strawberry green tea. I left it in the fridge overnight and thought it tasted better in the morning. Still not special, but serviceable.
I wonder if companies read reviews of their teas on this site. There’s quite a consensus on this tea. :P
Some do Leafhopper
And well Steepster seems to be souce for unbiased reviews as I collaborate with company which told me that my notes brought, at least, visitors to their website.
S&V Advent Day 7! I’m not generally a fan of berry black teas, especially ones with such a straightforward flavor direction. However, I’m happy to say that this is enjoyable! I like it best at room temperature with milk and sugar. The fruit is bright, juicy, and authentic. It goes nicely with the black tea. Very smooth.
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 8! I like this even more than when I received it as part of my subscription. It’s so bready! The base is really high quality. I don’t know that it tastes like pumpkin specifically, maybe more like rye or pumpernickel. At room temperature with milk and sugar, I’m a huge fan! I also taste some light spices that complement everything.
Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 6! I went to afternoon tea places on Friday and Sunday, so I’m behind on drinking my advent teas! This was a really nice mint tea! It was super smooth and fresh! I never seek out plain mint tea, but I’ll always try one when I come across it, and this one was definitely satisfying.
