2302 Tasting Notes
I had to grab a sample from a previous TTB after I smelled how rich and chocolatey this tea is. Then I accidentally left my mug at home and didn’t realize until I’d gotten to work! It was tasty despite sitting on the counter all day. It just has a lovely, deep, rich flavor. It has a lot going on despite being unflavored.
The leaves are so long! The flavor is really interesting and different from other teas I’ve had before. It’s somehow both light and rich…it’s hard to describe, but I’m really enjoying this! I wish I’d tried it before passing the TTB along, or I would have kept more than one serving! I left the mug in the fridge overnight, and now it tastes like the roasted green chiles I have in my fridge, whoops.
I would never choose this tea, but I always try every herbal that pops up in a TTB, so here we are. The only ingredient is mamaki, which is apparently a type of nettle. The flavor is light and plant-like, but at a level that’s pleasant. I wouldn’t seek this out, but I actually wouldn’t mind drinking it again.
TTB tea. This is my first time trying Stash’s loose leaf collection. I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying this! The cherry and almond combine so smoothly. The black tea base doesn’t show up too much. It actually ends up being quite a light tasting tea, almost as if it didn’t have that black base at all. My partner found the cherry flavor to be too fake, but I didn’t mind.
I taste a lot of pear, but I’d call it fresh and not cooked. I really only taste the rooibos base, pear flavoring, and a twang of something fake. I don’t see enough pear teas, so I’m having fun, but I don’t think I like it enough to keep any from the TTB. Unfortunately, the fake note lingers a bit.
