2300 Tasting Notes
Though I didn’t love the last sticky chai I bought, I was still fascinated to give this one a try. It tastes sort of squashy or fruity. I also taste a pretty pleasant combination of spices. I would definitely call this a spiced tea and not a chai. It’s not spicy at all. Still, I don’t love the combination of spices with the fruity aspect. They clash a little for me.
The quality of the green rooibos here is really fresh and tasty. On top of that, I taste fruitiness. I don’t know that I’d say banana specifically, and smoothie is pretty hard to communicate in a tea vs general fruitiness. The resteep is the same as the first. The second time I had this, I think the green rooibos plus green banana combined to be a little…I guess plantlike, and it wasn’t that pleasant of a cup. I didn’t steep for as long the last time I had this, and I enjoyed my cup again.
Cold with milk and sugar, I thought this was okay. I’ve had this blend from other companies and didn’t like it as much, but today it wasn’t bad. The chocolate is certainly fake and a bit alcohol-tasting, but it went well with the rooibos base. I’ve definitely had better chocolate rooibos before though.
I really thought I would hate this one, but I was buying all their flavors in order to reach the free shipping minimum, so I went for it anyway. I’m happy to say that I actually like it! I had it with almond milk, and the fruitiness is pretty refreshing cold. It’s super peachy! I couldn’t imagine having this one warm. The coffee flavor is thankfully more mild here than in some of the other blends. It’s just that fresh authentic fruitiness with a bit of coffee-like base below.
This matcha is delicious! It genuinely tastes like sugar cookies. I don’t know how they do it! I prepared this with cold milk and fake sugar, as always, and I feel like that preparation complemented the flavor profile a lot. I only had the advent sample of this, but I will definitely buy a bigger bag. This is exactly my sort of thing.
I don’t usually like lime teas, but it’s soft and nice here. The tea base is quite delicate. I taste a mild lime paired with something light and pillowy. It’s not sour, just light and fruity. The flavor could be a little stronger, but I won’t complain. The third time I had this, it was extra marshmallowy and nice.
