This is in my opinion another winner from Streetshop88 on EBay. It had a fair amount of fermentation flavor in the early steeps and a fair amount of bitterness. The bitterness was soon a memory and I was left with a delicious slightly sweet tea. This was a fairly strong tea but not incredibly so. I steeped it eight times and judging by the color of the eighth steep I’m sure it would have gone twelve or more. I don’t know if the words in the title “golden buds” means it has more buds than a usual puerh but it is tasty. I am not unhappy for having bought the bing. I did notice a very slight sour note in the first steep but I did not taste it again. It may have been my taste buds.

I steeped this tea eight times in a 170ml teapot with 10.4g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse and let the leaves rest for 10 minutes. No time or patience for a longer rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec.

Flavors: Bitter, Earth, Sweet

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
