This tea was overall very good. I gave it ten steeps in a 190ml gaiwan. It had a fair amount of fermentation flavor and that flavor was a bit unpleasant but not fishy. It only lasted a few steeps. There was little bitterness to this tea and a nice sweet note from the beginning. While I did not notice chocolate notes they could have been there. I did notice in the later steeps a dates note developed. This is a good tea for a bargain price, currently on sale for less than $20. While it was not spectacular it was a good solid tea that tasted very good and did not have too much fermentation taste left. This is one I would buy another of in time.

I steeped this tea ten times in a 190ml gaiwan with boiling water and 15g leaf. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 min.

Flavors: Dates, Earth, Sweet

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
