drank Caramel Matcha by Red Leaf Tea

Happy to report that I have mastered the art of steaming milk in the microwave. Victory for me this morning! Today will be busy for sure.
I love this tea and it’s going to help me make it through a day in retail before a stat day. Everyone panics when we close for a day.

Sil

haha so true.. OMG the stores! they’re closed for a day! stock up on everything!

BoxerMama

I work at a pet store! lol, that’s what I don’t get, how do you not have enough dog food to make it the ONE day we close!?!

Sare

Ok im coming to you with the matcha advice on flavors you obviously have lots lol!

BoxerMama

lol! I only have three! and one was from the 12 days swap.

Sil

only three! lol slackers! caramel/cheesecake/mocha/vanilla/chocolate/pear/blueberry/strawberry/black cherry/chai/pumpkin/boysenberry/cola uh…. yeah i think a lot of it depends on whether you like drinking it straight or with milk :)

Autistic Goblin

milk, definitely with milk except for the cola matcha :D that has to be mixed with black cherry matcha and served ice cold :D

BoxerMama

I want to try the pumpkin pie. I have no idea where to start with the review though.

My eldest daughter loves the pumpkin pie most of all! She has finished two larges and I gave her two more for Christmas! I have had mocha (all gone now), French vanilla, black cherry, Belgium chocolate (sic), pumpkin pie, cheesecake, caramel, Bavarian Cream, and my favorite, almond matcha. All are robust flavor level.

drank Golden Fleece by Verdant Tea

My all time favourite. However, today it stole my day off. It always give me too much energy. I planned on a day filled with napping and netflix. I brewed up a cup and started a movie, after one cup I felt a little restless and brewed another. The movie got very dark and my woman hormones kicked in and I started bawling! In walks BoxerPapa “What’s the matter?” How embarrassing that I have to tell him the movie I’m watching that’s labelled as a comedy made me cry. He laughs at me and hugs me, we make more tea.
He goes back to work and I am WIRED! Decided to make a sandwich. Well, I ended up cleaning my whole house thoroughly and I just made my sandwich.
The new crop tastes different though, not too different, almost juicier.

I was nervous to try this one after reading the description. Floral aroma, woodsy. That’s exactly what it is, but it is soooo good! It smells piney and tastes a little piney. Happy this was part of the tea of the month, especially since it’s sold out now!

Bonnie

I love this tea! It’s really different but good.

Since it’s my day for twelve days of tea and I know what that is like, I’m having this again. It’s so good.

Day 2 of the 12 days exchange. I’ll tell you, this is blowing my advent calendar out of the water!
This became my very first matcha latte. It was pure heaven! I’m almost ashamed to admit that I have never had actual champagne. I can’t actually tell you how realistic it tastes, but it’s naturally sweet and smooth. I love it!

drank Pear Tree by Autumn Hearth

This was the perfect way to begin the much anticipated Twelve Days exchange. I was nervous because I have recently discovered my disdain for Jasmine. BUT, Pear tree has changed my mind. It was a perfect morning cup and set the direction for such a fantastic day and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

This was a nice bold cup for the morning. I’m feeling super tired even though I had an exceptional amount of sleep. I’m still working my way through all of my new teas and this was a good one. Slightly juicy taste that I have been finding with a lot of butiki straight blacks.

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 0 sec

I have some of that waiting to be sampled too. I have an early morning gig, maybe I’ll steep a cup to take along.

This kicks the butt of ANY pumpkin tea I have ever had before. It actually tastes like real pumpkin, not fake pumpkin. I love nutmeg.

I have read sooo many reviews from Awkward Soul and I finally decided to order some. I am SOOOOO glad I did. I had previously tried straight guayusa and I did not enjoy it in the least. But, I had next to no sleep last night and my day involved 8 hours in a retail setting 2 weeks before xmas. . .
So I made this my second cup of the day and it was perfect.
The lemon isn’t sour and it isn’t creamy. It’s kind of like a lemon sucker. Yet another butiki staple.

Sil

It’s really nice cold brewed too…ESP if you use the tea from your first steeping :)

TheTeaFairy

I’m sure Gayusa came handy on such circumstances… I really like this one too, it’s just the perfect amount of citrus!

BoxerMama

Good to know!

Donna A

Just got mine in the mail. Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

Autistic Goblin

lemon sucker with boiling water, cooler water will bring out the creaminess :D

Out of all the teas I ordered I was actually most excited for this one. I have no idea why, I was just looking forward to a nice, bold cup of simple, black tea.
Conveniently enough I had the worst sleep of my life last night stewing over my crappy day yesterday. Been awake since 1am now. . . Having this before I get myself ready for work.
It really does smell like raisins while it steeps. i wish it would cool faster. I need to get my butt in gear! lol
Oh it’s exactly what I was looking for! Complex, like you’ve got the whole leaf in your mouth. Bold like tea’s equivalent of dark roast. Sweet, I definitely catch the caramel in there!
A new staple, I should have known. :)

Boiling 3 min, 30 sec

I’ve been looking at this one…might have to make a purchase!

BoxerMama

It’s VERY good! I wanted more all day, but I was at work :(

There are few things in life that I enjoy more than a good cup of tea and the company of my dogs.
I’m a down to earth person very true to my Virgo roots. I own two Boxers, Octane (male, 6 years) and Rally Rims (female, 3 years). I do not breed or show, they are an integral part of my family. I also have a loving husband in the Canadian Military and a beautiful daughter who amazes me with her wit and intelligence everyday.
I love Autumn, for it’s colour, smell and general ambiance.
I’m just a girl, looking for a good cup of tea.
