…Huh. This tea sounds so good, but there’s some weird scent/aftertaste thing going on that’s just not pleasant, like industrial floor cleaner or artificial sweetener. I tried this cooler and then almost-boiling, and the hotter cup was better, but still…odd. I will give it one more chance, and then it may be yuckyface time, I’m afraid.
(Still, though, mad thanks to Doulton for the sample! I always would have wondered, otherwise.)

Hot grape to me just does not sound good. Now steep it in just a little water and fill the rest w/ soda water and I’m sold.
Hot grape? Is that what it tastes like to you?
(I’m thinking of trying it iced, actually, but I’m worried that it’ll bring out that artificial taste too much….)
…Okay, I’m slapping my forehead here — yes, of course, champagne is made from grapes. Er. It’s late at night and I…um…I have no excuses.
Cait, My experience to this tea was similar to yours and I think it is the champagne aftertaste that I too am not crazy about. I don’t like Champagne (I’m more of a mojito girl) I liked the mojito part but couldn’t get over the champagne taste enough to enjoy this one. The Pina Colada Honeybush is much better IMO.
This tea grew on me. Didn’t like it much the first time, but then it started to taste pretty good. Less leaves perhaps?
I’m glad I’m not the only one, SoccerMom!
Ricky, I’ll try using less next time — thanks for the tip! I want to like this one….
Ricky, Did I miss the mojito party?? I just got back from picking up my son at soccer practice. It probably wouldn’t have been a good time to get drunk considering I had to chaffeur soccer players around. LOL

I’ll try it too with less leaves. We could have a mojito party!
Mojito party right now? I’m in! Time to get drunk!
10oz – 3g – 2.5mins tasted decent to me, but maybe I’m just use to it now.

Naw, we can have an after party! Cheers! It’s almost the weekends anyways ;)
