Having a tough morning so I decided to go to my “happy tea”. This is the one that I reserve for special occasions or just when I need a good moment of relaxation. It is so expensive that I don’t have much on hand so I treasure it. It was wonderful this morning. Resteeped the leaves for 5 minutes at it has made my afternoon. So nice.
And I got 50g with my David’s Tea Frequent Steeper rewards on Wednesday. Yay. So now I can go to my happy place more often. Nothing like $20 worth of tea for free. Yippee.

I am loving this tea. So happy I got one of the bags and need to restock this one. I am a hibiscus lover so that may colour my opinion of this tea. Just tart enough and the stevia taste in non-existant. And I am a sucker for a nice, bright red tea.

I am loving this tea. Nice and light but still Christmassy (is that a word). I was wondering about the star anise and wether it would take over the tea or not but it hasn’t in any of the cups I have had so far. The green tea comes out quite nicely even with everything else going on.
And my favourite part? I love eating the cranberries out of my steeper after the tea is done steeping. So yummy.
This even resteeps well once. I normally prepare my tea with the regular paramaters and then I just add more water to the steeper and get the tea when I have finished my first cup.
I do have to remember to pay attention when at David’s getting my tins refilled. I asked the girl for 100 g of this one and when I saw the tin wasn’t full I told her to go ahead and fill it. Well imagine my shock when I looked at the tin at home and it had 190g in it. Whoops. Guess I won’t need to refill this tin for awhile.

I am really enjoying this tea. I used to only get it as a to go tea from David’s but decided to buy a small amount (It is expensive) to have at work with me. It is great in the afternoons when I have had to deal with lots of people on the phone who want me to do lots for them and not much for themselves and am generally irritated at the world. Butterfly Jasmine makes the world a happy place again and I even resteep it. The second steep isn’t near as good but has enough remnants of the first to make it still amusing just not fully happy.

I am loving this tea. I have never had white hibiscus (that I know of) and I am pleasantly surprised. I have been in a very green tea mood recently so thought I would give this one a try. It is nice and fruity. I am going to try resteeping this one tomorrow morning to see if it will stand up to multiple steeps. Really enjoying this and will definately rebuy.

I am going to David’s in Westboro tomorrow but by happy coincidence we were helping out my SIL with her courier company and needed to be in the city today. And we just happened to be near David’s. Yippee. So I convinced hubby that I needed to stop to run in and get a to go tea. And this was one of the tea’s of the day. I really enjoyed this. Hubby even threatened to steal it from me. Can’t wait to buy some tomorrow.
Unfortunately they didn’t have Paradise Found ready to sample yet so I couldn’t try it but the guy that served me said that I was a regular at the store so he would make sure I got to try it next time I’m in. I haven’t been in the store for over a month and I was still remembered. Love the customer service at David’s.

OMG. I am so glad I stopped at David’s today. We were doing some flower deliveries for my BIL (they are short couriers so we fill in sometimes) and between deliveries we were driving by David’s in Westboro in Ottawa and I decided to take a few minutes and stop. Wow. This was the tea of the day and I loved it. When it was hot the cinnamon heart candy flavour was so great. After it cooled some it was really cinnamony (is that a word?) and I still enjoyed it but it was really hot. Almost made me reach for my Zantac. I am looking forward to making this one at home. Hope they make it permanent.

Not going to rate this because I screwed it up but OMG it was awful. I knew I wasn’t going to have time to let the tea steep because we were on our way out the door to meet family for breakfast so I decided on an herbal tea since the “leaves” can be left in. Well not this tea. Ugh. After 20 minutes I could finally take a sip of it while driving (it was also in my Timolino mug so it stays super hot) and all I could taste was the chili pepper. So spicy. And I like spicy food but this was uncomfortably hot. I think I even burnt my tongue.
Looking forward to trying this one again when I can steep this one properly. Hopefully it will be better.
