1040 Tasting Notes
I haven’t logged teas in DAYS. Steepster has just been too difficult to deal with.
Was drinking this one a couple of days ago.
I think it’s good, it’s hazelnut, it’s about the same as Adagios. If you like hazelnut, this is worth a try.
Drinking this cold steeped tonight. It’s ok, it’s good. The peach flavor is nice, not fake and candy – I just wish there was a little more of it. The white base is fine, present but not in the way. This is a decent peach white tea. I have a LOT of peach teas in my house and this one is good but not my favorite.
On that note, drinking the last of this puts my cupboard officially at 299. Goodbye 300s, nice to know you, but don’t ever want this much tea in my house again. Operation cupboard reduction continues…..
It’s been hot here for the last couple of weeks and I haven’t been drinking much hot tea. It was significantly cooler today, and I drank a BUNCH of hot teas.
I feel like I’ve been writing negative or just ok tasting notes all day. Wanted to end the day with something GOOD.
This is beyond good – this is a great tea. It’s beautiful to look at and it’s beautiful to drink. There are tons of tasting notes about it, so I’m not going to go into long boring details. It’s just a great sweet potato, grainy style black tea.
This makes me happy tonight. :))
I have two samples of this in my house – the lovely TheTeaFairy was kind enough to send me some, and then Brendan included this as a sample with my order. Thank you very much to both of you.
This is wasted on me. Sorry guys, can’t do it – I can not get past the pine/eucalyptus/cedar, whatever that tree taste is. I’m not getting any saffron, very little vanilla – it’s just lost behind the tree taste.
Maybe I’m too much of a city girl to appreciate this…..
It sounds like a neat blend, but I’m the kind of person who chewed on spruce sap in the winter, and pine buds in the spring… :)
Maybe. I tried the white wolf from Bellocq, but I found the mint took everything over.
I seriously need to consider a Whispering Pines order. One day. :) Maybe when I have fewer teas!
Oh noooo! So sorry you had such a bad experience…And I’ve been bragging so much about it, lol. Oh well, at least you can scratch off your list :-) i like it so much, I’m dedicating on of my yixing clay pot just for it!
And OMGsrsly, I’m like you!! Totally chewing on pine buds :-)
Aww sad you didn’t like this one! Definitely not for everyone. I think you should give Golden Orchid a try next though ;-)
Just be careful with the spruce sap, TeaFairy! If you don’t get the right variety it dissolves instead of acting like gum. And if it dissolves it’s so gross. :D
This is just too weird for me – way too much going on and the honeybush is just spoiling the party.
Blueberry, vanilla, coconut, black, and honeybush do not belong in my cup all at the same time…..
I’ve heard these Harry Potter fandom blends are not great, but I left the sampler on my amazon wishlist anyway because I really want the tins lol
I agree, the tins are super cute! I’ve been using my empty Star Wars ones to keep opened TeaVivre samples in. :D
I’m thinking that most of the custom Adagio tea I have are just OK – and that’s true of this one too. Not bad, not great just ok.
I’m not getting much strawberry – more stone fruit (apricot), vanilla, cream.
I’m happy to have bought the set, and is fun to try the custom blends, the tins are so cute, but the tea is more of a novelty than great tea.
How about you put a secret stash in your desk for emergencies?
Sad….
