It is a sad day when you come home from a summer away from your tea stash, excited to get reacquainted, only to discover that your precious stash of Three Friends is finally past it’s prime. I can smell the orange, but there is none left in the taste. The chocolate has dissipated as well. The friends have gone. All that is left is the base, which is a damn good base and is totally drinkable and enjoyable on it’s own, but it isn’t the amazing blend I so loved. To be fair, this tea is likely three years old and can’t be expected to last forever. Ah the problems of a tea hoarder! How to enjoy all your tea before it is past it’s prime. The struggle is real folks.

Oh no. It hurts when this happens…especially with Butiki teas. You want to hoard them so they last forever but then you miss out on their peak deliciousness :(

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
