One of my favorite green teas to drink. It’s very relaxing and a little sweet. Try cold brewing it to make iced tea, it’s even better. I don’t taste the peach, but it’s still a pleasant tea to try.

If you enjoy a good Earl Grey tea, try this. I’m quite sure this is the best Earl Grey I’ve had.

This is my favorite Earl Grey tea I have had so far. You can really taste the citrus without it becoming overwhelming.

Very light and pleasant tea. It smells very sweet to me, but it doesn’t taste overly sweet. I could really pick up on the vanilla.

drank Cheeky Lychee by DAVIDsTEA

Not a fan, I don’t taste any of the Lychee. This tea tastes a bit like black licorice to me, which isn’t a good thing.

drank Spiced Fig by DAVIDsTEA

This tea is weaker than I was expecting. Maybe I need to brew it longer. I taste more sweet flavors than spice. Still, it’s an enjoyable tea but I don’t think I would purchase more. It’s heavy so this tea is a little expensive for an herbal tea.

Boiling 8 min or more

drank Coffee Cake by DAVIDsTEA

I get cake from this, but not so much the coffee. The flavor comes off more like a spice to me than coffee. I do love this tea however because I don’t like very sweet teas and this is perfect for cold mornings.

drank Stormy Night (Organic) by DAVIDsTEA

I drink this when I want something sweet, but not turn into the cookie monster. It’s delicious but a bit weaker than what I was expecting. I’m not big on coconut in my tea and in this one I can only pick up on that with the chocolate. I would have liked a little bit more spice to balance out the sweetness.

I think this needs to be brewed at a lower temperature. At 180 the tea comes out to tasting slightly bitter and not very pleasant but at 165 the tea is light, slightly floral and sweet.

At first this tea doesn’t taste like much, but once it cools down you can really tasted the toasted rice. This is a great green tea to start your day, or to drink if sick.

Profile

Bio

I became a tea addict after I decided to make some changes to my diet and cut out soda completely.

Teas I like
I love Japanese green teas but I can be a little snobby about them. When I was in Japan I stayed in an area known for sencha, so I can be pretty picky.

Companies I enjoy
I’ve had most experience with Lupicia because they’re very close to me. I enjoy their non flavored green teas and white teas the most. Their flavored teas are good, but it’s usually a hit or miss.
DavidsTea is a bit far but when I make trips to San Francisco I usually buy a bit. I like their herbal teas the most. Their other teas never wow me and have too much flavoring for me.
I like Adagio for their fan blends – I wish more companies did this! The tea isn’t the best quality but I do enjoy my initial steeps.
I found a store near me that sells Mariage Frères. They’re expensive but I don’t think I have had a more delicious cup of tea before.

Tibits about me
I returned to school several years ago and I am finally graduating in March 2014 so I’m really excited to finally be receiving my bachelor’s. I spend my evenings when I’m not studying watching cheesy scifi movies, playing video games, watching video game streams, or stalking the internet for tea. I have an adorable old man kitty who always wants whatever I’m drinking. When I can, I like to sew and knit while I marathon BBC shows or asian dramas.
