This First Flush Darjeeling Blend is quite delicate for a black tea, in line with the general characteristics of first flush Darjeelings. It has notes of grass, apricot and a slight muscatel aftertaste. The second infusion leans more heavily towards the grassy and muscatel notes, and doesn’t seem to loose strength. I generally favour second flush Darjeelings, but this is a pleasant tea, well suited to summer afternoons when I prefer lighter flavours.

My first tea from this brand, and I’m not disappointed! This Darjeeling Oolong has an earthy smell with notes of cocoa, quite strong when dry, more mellow and fruity when brewed. It’s a medium strength tea with the classic Darjeeling muscatel flavour, with notes of nuts and fruits. Love it, I can’t wait to try the rest of the samples I bought.

I think this tea will not appeal to everyone, but personally I love it. I like the blend of the smokiness of Lapsang Souchong, the sweetness of caramel and the warm spicy feel of the rest of the ingredients.

I was really curious about this tea, because I had never seen watermelon used as a flavour before. I do think the name is slightly misleading, as I do detect a good and yummy blend of coconut and tropical fruits, but not really the watermelon. That said, I find the tea quite good, naturally sweet and fresh, a perfect summer drink, especially if cold brewed.

This tea is absolute perfection, it’s like a biscuit in a mug. Both the leaves and the infusion smell like freshly baked biscuits, and all the ingredients are balanced masterfully.
I drink it with half a teaspoon of Stevia, and it’s the perfect guilty pleasure, just without guilt!

I spent a long time finding the perfect Earl Grey for my tastes, one with a strong base that would not be overwhelmed by the bergamot flavour. This tea comes very close to ticking all my boxes. The base tastes like a slightly lighter english breakfast, with the added hint of bergamot that appears more like an aftertaste. If the flavouring had been only slightly more prominent, it would have been perfect.

Light tea with a predominant coconut note and scent, the blueberries enhance the flavour but are definitely a secondary note. If brewed correctly, this tea is a well balanced mix of buttery sweet and bitter flavours, but it gets overly bitter even if infused only a few seconds too long. It can be infused twice without losing flavour. I drink it with half a teaspoon of stevia.
