drank Hazelnut by Adagio Teas

So I was busy washing the dishes this morning and forgot I was steeping tea. Ack. And I was especially worried because this tea had a pretty short recommended steep time (3 min) and I’d never tried it before. Ruining my first pot of this tea was NOT how I wanted to begin my morning!

Surprisingly, it doesn’t taste in the least oversteeped. Not bitter at all. I did add a healthy amount of almond milk and truvia, but that was more a matter of personal preference than actual need.

I like how another reviewer described this tea as “ferarro rocher minus the chocolate,” because that’s exactly what this is. The hazelnut flavor is VERY strong, and pleasant. Honestly, it makes me want to have this with “Chocolate Chip” tea from now on, I won’t lie. :-)

I love flavored teas, especially black “dessert-like” teas, or teas I can make dessert-like with the addition of almond milk and truvia. Yes, I’m that girl that never orders her coffee black, and instead gets the double mocha on ice with whipped soy cream and almond shavings. Hey, that’s what I love, and I’m not afraid to embrace it! I’m on the warpath to sample as many new teas as my budget (and husband) will allow, and am pretty much working my way through the entire Adagio catalog at the moment.

I almost always hate chamomile or any blend with chamomile in it, and have detested every single Earl Grey I’ve tried (sorry…I’ve tried quite a few!).

I am lucky to live and work in the fantastic city of Portland, and I’m vegan.
