Dry this tea smells kind of smokey and floral to me…

After steeping it for about 5 min at 96 degrees it looks like a redder version of orange pekoe, add a spoon of brown sugar and a dash of milk and you have yourself a light, creamy brown cup of tea that smells rather plain. However, the smell undersells the taste. For something that smells so plain and looks like just any plain old black tea it is actually quite delicious. Unfortunately, I can’t compare it to other English Breakfast teas because this is the first time in my 22 years on this beautiful earth that an English Breakfast tea has made its way onto my taste buds. What I can tell you is that for a plain black tea, it is delicious. It has a bolder tea flavor (which I quite like) with a hint of something floral to it and it tastes like there’s a dab of honey to it – even tho the only sweetener I added was brown sugar). It also has a bit of kick to it (caffeine wise, that is), a good “wake me up” tea.

Dry this tea has a very off-putting, strong, astringent, almost orange smell to it. Once brewed it does start to smell like a regular Earl Grey tea, and not near anywhere as harsh as it smells dry, it actually smells quite pleasant.

I brewed this cup for about 5 minutes at 96 degrees in a clear mug to have it produce a wonderful rum-like color to which I added a spoonful of brown sugar and a splash of milk to get a beautifully creamy-brown cup of perfection.

This tea is actually quite nice, it’s even become my favourite Earl Grey to date. It’s a soft, light cup of tea with just a touch of citrus to it. Wonderfully soothing.

Steeped this tea for about 5 min at about 96 degrees in my clear mug again so I could see the color and it’s a lovely red shade, it kind of reminds me of a slightly watered down cranberry juice n__n
I also find this tea to be a bit sweet on it’s own, so I don’t usually add any kind of sweetener to it.

Mmmmm, first sips after quite some time without my ‘magic elixir’ and it’s just as good… and sweet as I remember. It tastes almost like a warm, sweet and tangy cranberry punch with a kick of goji. Sounds a bit weird, but strangely addctive. It would be amazing iced. Which, now that I’m thinking about it, I’m wondering how on earth I didn’t think of it earlier. I mean, I’ve already gone through an entire 100g tin of it (with my husband’s help of course, this is also a favorite of his)
But, I’ll have to leave that for another time.

Dry, this tea smells very fresh and minty.

After steeping it for 5 min in water that I let sit for about 2 min after it finished boiling and adding a spoonful of honey this tea is delicious as always. I made it in a clear mug tonight and it has a wonderful pink color, reminds me of watermelon juice for some reason.

After letting it cool for a while, I can finally have another taste of this wonderful tea. It’s light and fresh, with a fairly strong minty flavor, a slight grassy-ness to it, and an almost strawberry like taste. Perfect. Relaxing, soothing, and comforting all at once, my favorite bedtime tea.

I am in LOVE with these tea bags! They are perfect for when you’re on the go & want to take some perfect portions of your favorite teas with you for another brew! I always keep a pack of 100 filters in my cupboard (much cheaper in the long run than the 20 packs, even though I don’t use them very often – I usually use an infuser at home) because they’re just so handy & I LOVE the fact that they’re unbleached!!
