This is a somewhat decent teabag green tea. It is a medium green tea which is far from the lighter and sweeter greens that I prefer.. Makes a decent iced tea but don’t give my review too much weight as this is outside of my typical teas of interest.

When it comes to tea bags teas, once again Prince of Peace has proven to provide unusually high quality brew. The key to getting it to come out good is to use a smaller 6 oz cup and to brew for 4 minutes with boiling water. The result is a rich dark roast oolong that I would consider good enough to be an everyday Oolong for when you do not have the ability to focus enough to use a gaiwan.

This is a very interesting black tea, which is stronger than what I normally drink but not overwhelmingly astringent. This one has more of a malty and fuller taste to it which sort of reminds me of a Yunnan black tea. If you are one that generally goes for almost exclusively Chinese black teas, I would recommend trying a sample of this tea. I haven’t made up my mind about if I like it enough to order it again but it has demonstrated to me that not all African back teas are too bitter for me to handle.

Hi John, long time.

John Grebe

Thanks @mrmopar, lately I have been drinking mainly old favorites without a lot of new teas so thus not much to write about on Steepster.

I know how that goes. Sometimes you have to pull out a favorite or one you liked and have it again.

I brewed this a minute under the recommended range at 3 minutes instead of the suggested 4 to 5. A stronger tea that is a bit malty but not bitter which is not bad considering the low hopes that I had for these teabags which I only have because they were a gift.

Tension Tamer has a nice relaxing taste that is hard to describe beyond slightly sweet and enjoyable. I have no idea if it is the Eleuthero or Catnip as both are herbs that I have not had before or a combination of both of them. Think of it as a daytime version of Sleepytime that relaxes you but not to the point to being in danger of falling asleep.

This is likely the best grocery store teabag green tea that I’ve had. A good tea for travel and introducing others to green tea.

This one comes out with a nice blend of lemon and ginger with the lemon being stronger, which is a welcome change from other ginger tea which is borderline too strong for me. I have a feeling that this one would work out very well as an ice tea a a bit of a herbal tea lemonade.

Unless you really really love lemon do not bother with this tea. This tea comes off to me more as hot lemon water that is more sweet than sour. The color is darker than one would expect but the other herbs while they give sweetness to not give much flavor as the lemon overpowers them all.

I’m divided between feeling if I should be generous or critical with this tea. When it comes to green teas this is nothing to brag about or promote as an excellent example of a really good one, neither is it a really bad tea that needs lots of sugar to be considered drinkable. This one is more of a generic green tea without any special character to it, which depending upon one’s perspective may or may not be a good thing.

drank Cinnamon Vanilla by Stash Tea

Wow this one really impresses me. I have always been skeptical of the desert teas which always seem to need an insane amount of sugar to taste right which defeats the point in my opinion. This one came from my grandmother who got a box of it as a gift and passed it on to me after she was not drinking it. Everything seems just right the cinnamon, vanilla and sarsaparilla blend together to form a nice flavor, personally I could not taste any of the chamomile or rooibos from how nicely they blend together with everything. Which is very significant given that I personally do not like rooibos but I love this tea which has it in the mix.
