266 Tasting Notes
Normally Assam is not a favorite tea of mine as it comes off as way too malty in a bitter way but this one is actually very good. The tea comes off as lighter for an Assam with a wonderful Cabernet aroma and taste that goes with it. Even if you don’t think you like Assam tea, if you enjoy Cabernet red wine then this is a tea that is really worth trying.
Preparation
A fairly light and sweet tasting young sheng puerh, without any overwhelming bitterness or smoke. Overall a smooth taste and a light golden amber brew with only a little minor astringency. This is also a “high energy tea” that one could get “tea drunk” on with enough from how you start to feel it in time
Preparation
This one proved to be a very tasty mini tuocha with a very nice light and smooth Menghai taste. Clearly not made from cheap broken leaves and dust as this mini tuocha easily beats out a lot of cheap bricks and even cakes that I’ve run across.
Preparation
The Vanilla is nice and strong in Adagio’s Honeybush Vanilla which makes it an enjoyable tea. Although I doubt I will be buying more beyond the sample as while enjoyable it is not one that I see myself wanting to drink that often, not to mention how easy it is to add a few drops of vanilla to a cup of brewed Honeybush tea.
Preparation
Personally I’m not sure what to think about the comment of Honeybush being very close to Rooibos as while I do not like Rooibos, must be the sweeter honey like notes in Honeybush that make it more enjoyable to me. While Honeybush is my caffeine-free tea of choice that I find enjoyable, quite honestly I would much rather be drinking a nice oolong or ripe puerh if at all possible depending upon the time of day.
Preparation
Honeybush Chocolate turned out to be one of the stronger tasting honeybush flavored teas I’ve had yet. Unlike a lot of other chocolate teas that I’ve had come off seeming a bit empty and in need of sugar added to give it more flavor, but the natural sweet flavor of honeybush takes care of that nicely.
Preparation
The orange flavor is fairly subtle in how well it blends with the honeybush’s sweetness. If you are looking for a strong orange flavor this is not for you but if you like honeybush and think some extra orange flavor notes would be good, then this would be a good tea for you.
