This tastes much better this morning once brewed in my Gongfu Teapot. Using ‘1 minute, 2 minutes and 3 minutes’ steeping times it has a much stronger taste and brings forward more grass, cabbage and butter.
I still have yet to use the glass method of brewing Dragonwell, has anyone tried it? Notice any difference?

Hmm, I don’t know. That all seems really unnecessary to me. I’ve brewed Dragon Well in an infuser basket like all my other teas and it comes out great, just like all my other teas. I think whoever made this video just really likes to watch the tea steep.
that is why I use a French Press. I love to watch the leaf ‘dance’. I don’t notice a flavor difference. It is just part of the experience of tea.
I have tried it just for the sake of the experience. I didn’t notice much difference in flavor. The only notable difference were leaves hanging out in my way (most of them do go to the bottom, but a few stragglers insisted on interrupting my sipping). I suppose the glass brew method is popular for dragonwell partly for the visuals and also because it isn’t so prone to damage from over-brewing and could potentially be a quick and convenient way to steep your tea in a hurry (throw them in a thermos and go kind of thing).
