This tea that I received for free to sample rather surprised me. I was expecting strong and intense smoky flavours, similar to other Lapsang Souchong teas that I have had, but instead, the tea tasted really mellow, in an enjoyable way. It is a rich tasting, though light, black tea. I tasted sweet, floral notes, reminiscent of roses.
