4843 Tasting Notes
OK… so I have been sipping on this for a couple of days now, because I can taste it with the taste buds out of whack. It is also quite nice because it’s warming and soothing on the throat.
Song? OK… well, since this is a custom blend… how about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZoWSnEUTdk&feature=related
I am feeling so much better than I was over the last few days. I don’t know if my taste buds are still 100% yet, so I am going to be tasting a few teas that I’m familiar with to see if I am getting the flavors that I remember before I move on to some of the newer teas that I have.

I am not getting very much of the cranberry or the orange flavors at this point, so I am guessing that my taste buds still aren’t 100% yet. Even so, this does taste good!
The song I chose for this tea is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7INs-vTick My favorite song from the Cranberries.
I will have to share this song with my daughter. She spent the summer in the Catholic sector (yes, sadly there are two distinct sectors) of Derry, Northern Ireland and saw the murals and memorials. She was proudly introduced everywhere as – “This is the American! She is Protestant!” even though we are interdenominational! A sad, sad thing and one of those terribly complicated matters that isn’t about religion at all and most people on both sides really do want to get along…
This is kind of an experiment for me, to see how my taste buds are doing. I wanted a more delicate tasting tea than the tea I’ve been drinking (mostly black teas with a lot of ginger and cinnamon and other spices) to see if I could detect some of the lighter flavors. And they seem to be in check! Woot!
The pear flavor is quite lovely, as is the flavor of the green tea. Fresh, slightly vegetative, and the fruit flavor is light yet sweet and delicious.
As for TeaEqualsBliss’s challenge, Um… well… here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbm6GXllBiw … Pear-adise City!
I thought I had logged this tea previously, but apparently not!
I am finishing up the sampling that TeaEqualsBliss sent to me. I think that my taste buds are coming back to me, but they still aren’t 100%.

I am now finishing up the last of what I had on hand of this tea. The spicy teas are always welcome when I’m feeling like this because I can actually taste them, even though my taste buds are impaired somewhat. I am feeling a lot better though, and hopefully I will be able to start tasting properly again! But in the meantime, I really must thank Arbor Teas for this delicious tea to help me through that rough time!
This is yummy.
Backlog: I finished up the last of this tea that TeaEqualsBliss sent me last night.

Backlog: I’m not a particular fan of Adagio’s black tea base, but, when I’m sick, I find that my palate is not nearly as sensitive to the harsher tones of the tea. I like this one with ginger and honey added, it really enhances the Asian feel of this tea nicely, and the ginger is working wonders on my cold/flu/whatever this is.
